I have been searching high and low for a CL deal on a WSM for sometime. I have a sorta limited budget and because of such, just have not found one (in time anyway) in my price range. The wife is not exactly understanding as I already have two grills and a Chargriller smoker. Anyway yesterday at work I was browsing CL and came across a 5 year old performer for $75. This was about 10 min after the seller posted. He contacted me back and told me he would hold it for me till I could get out there after work. This is pretty rare as it is usually 'first one with money gets the prize'.
I am happpy to say that I am the proud new owner of a Weber performer, which can now keep my other older Weber company.
It still isnt a WSM, but this will make the wait a little more tolerable !!!

That's a pretty nice find at that price. If SWMBO doesn't appreciate it and the food you prepare on it, gently remind her that this is way less expensive than chasing other women.
This thing is in extremely great shape. This was definitely garage kept. Other than being a little dusty/dirty it looks almst brand new. Checking out the ignitor system, etc. it is in perfect shape. Lit on the very first try. Even the vents are very snug against the lid/bowl.....something that can not be said about my old Weber. Date code on the vent states 2006, but I have to wonder if this wasnt bought at a much later date than that. Previous owner stated he only had this for 2 years...If not for the date code I would completely believe that.
I have a similar similar to find. Mine says AD which makes it a 2010. I looked at the inside of the grill and it was barely used, the one touch system doesn't have an ounce of rust on it. The seller told me he bought it this summer at HD and I believe him. I actually compared your pictures and mine side by and noticed the minor differences. I thought all of the plastic topped Performers were the same. Great find! You can't beat that price. Yours is also green and mine is black, I would prefer a color but you can't complain when shopping on a budget.
