Air temp probe placement

Hi all! Recently purchased a 22.5 kettle on CL. I have a Thermoworks ChefAlarm with the air temperature probe. This tool has become invaluable for me. I'm not sure exactly how to set it up on the Kettle. Figured it would
Not be a good idea to run it under the lid. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I run mine through the vent holes in the lid. A little cumbersome but it works.
