Hello
Never done atomic buffalo turd's before. Got a party coming up in a few weeks and would like to BBQ some for the party and take them.

How meany abt's have you been able to fit on a "22'5 kettle? I think I'm going to need as much grill-estate as can get.

Also I need to transport them to the party so Im thinking of just using a unused drip pan rap in tinfoil.

I know this is the rong forum for this but any suggestions on a resipe to use. Abt's seem strate forward but I would like to hear suggestions.
Thanks

We did a batch of ABTs a couple of nights ago - coals were spread out over half the grill so I could only use the other half for indirect (normally I use fire bricks or coal baskets to keep the coals in <1/4 of the grill area). We fit ~24 ABTs easily in that space, probably could have done 30, so I would guess somewhere around 50 if you don't mind rotating them around a bit since some will be pretty close to the coals.

If you use firebricks (which limit the temperature rise as you get closer to the coals) you might get 60, but I would plan for maybe 50.

Might be worth looking into one of the raised secondary grills, either the old Weber warming grill if you can find one, or a HoverGrill, or something home-made. The Weber warming grill seemed like the best, since you can still access the entire grill area under it without having to move the upper grill out of the way.
