A-Tisket, A-Tasket, Anyone Running their Auber Blower with a Gasket?

Greetings Learned Forum:

My Auber Temperature Controller arrived yesterday. It will be taking its maiden voyage this weekend, when I smoke two Boston Butts. I noticed that a silicone gasket is an option. I checked with Auber, and they said that the vast majority of WSM users do not use the gasket. I was just wondering what people on our forum were doing and how the Auber blower was working on your WSMs without a gasket. Thank you.

I used it. I helps seal the fan to the curve of the wsm. I don't think you want there to be much draw when not stoking, or your temps will never go down.
