22.5 & 26.5 housing

Yesterday, I was in Barbecues Galore buying some smoke chips and they were uncrating an 18 inch WSM. The new models are really nice. Next to it they had a 22.5 still crated and next to that was an assembled green 26.5 kettle. That was really nice too. On the kettle I noticed the thermometer had a housing like the WSM. But it reads up tp 600 degrees. Does anyone know if that thermometer would fit the new WSM housing? My plan is to add another top vent to my 22.5. I want to acheive higher temperatures and I think the 600 degree thermometer would work out great if it would fit.

They have different part numbers, but I bet that has more to do with the curvature of the WSM lid. Next time you go, take a tape measure and see if the diameter of the bezel is the same.

Thanks for the reply Jake. Good idea, I will take a tape measure next time and measure it. By the way, I had no idea it was called a bezel.
