2013 Performer

Has anyone seen these in person? Looking at the pics it looks like the table is now black instead of gray? Anyone confirm this? Reason I ask is while shopping for some hop up parts for my WSM I noticed the local hardware store is blowing out last years model of Performer with gas assist for 299.00. Great price in my book. I noticed today while at Home Depot there prices on the non gas assist model was at 299.00 ouch! Any info would be great!

299.00 isn't exactly what I call a blowout. If I recall correctly, full retail was only 30 bucks more. All this year Home Depots here in the Atlanta area cleared them out at anywhere from $115 to $180, depending on the available amount of inventory.

If price for the gas assist is your top priority, and you're not terribly picky, I'd wait on a deal from Craigslist. I paid only 40 bucks for a 2005 model with gas assist. Blue at that!

Thanks for that craigslist post, W. I've been doing the craigslist searches for a few days now and just missed a "used 3 times" for $100. Will keep looking.

The only new feature on the 2013 model that I'm aware of is the removable timer. And it's just that -- a timer. Of minimal use in my book as I don't cook by time and my two remote probes both have timers included.

Interesting observation on the table color Scott. Though it really depends on the lighting of your screen whether it look black or grey. But the pics on the Weber site do make the gas assist table look darker than the standard Performer. I'd suggest that you just call Weber Support and ask.

I have searched my local craigslist for the last 6 months and have found only one for sale for 200 plus. I will buy new for that price. Plus there is nothing like a new toy:)
