120 or 220?

Ok, I'm going to get one but not sure which.

Like I said in the other post I will use it to cook just for myself 75% of the time and the rest between 2 and 12 people. I also have the Weber charcoal grill and smoker and love to use them but I'm looking for something I can throw on a burger or steak on at the last minute when I get home late from work.

There is only a $50 price difference between the two so that's no problem at all.

The thing is I keep reading about the 220 NOT getting up to temp and I'm worried about that. I also read that you first turn the tank on slowly then the 220 controls and let it come up to temp before using. I'm worried about this. I don't want to end up with a grill that will not come up to temp.

i have a q220 and have no problems. any of the bigger ones need to have the tank turned on first and then wait for couple of minutes to start up the grill due to the check valve in the tank. the bigger ones also need to be heated up for about 15 min or so due to their size. if you need portability and the q120 size is ok then go for it but don't let those non issue things turn you off from the q220 or the 300 series.
my q220 is perfectly able to burn anything put on it

I have a newly acquired Q220 red head. It get's hot as hell really fast. In to the 500 range in about 10 minutes. It will sear steaks and fish like the bomb. Don't let others here tell you it is "underpowered" nothing could be further from the truth
