1000 Series Control Panel Wanted

I've been tasked with putting together a customer's 1000 series grill as an overdone display item for lack of better words. They want to use it as a decorative conversation piece for display in the great room of their pseudo-Adirondack Lodge / McMansion. Although it will be functionally operable when I turn it back over to them, they truly have no plans of ever taking it outside again or actually cooking on it. This has me in search of an as close to pristine control panel cover. Bonus points if it has the 8006 part number on it to match the original but it's not a deal breaker if it doesn't. PayPal / Venmo and my UPS number to cover the shipping costs are at hand to pull a deal together. Any candidates out there?

Hi Tom, I have a few. I will get some pictures to see if they are worthy.

Hi Tom, The 8006 is a grade “B”. Serviceable but some fade and wear at the frame end caps.
It does have some character…

Please check. A spare for my inventory wouldn't be the worst thing to have.
Hi Tom,

I have one in pretty nice shape. It's an 8006 coded panel from a 1998 Platinum Genesis 2000.

I can clean it up tomorrow and take a Pic in the sun.

It was pretty dirty and I only wiped it off.

edit: I can't tell if it is rust or dirt on the lower outside edge. The grill was covered in red dirt that we have out here.

Appreciate you checking and offering an honest assessment. That’s on par with what I currently have. I’m hoping to come up with something a bit better for the project.

Please let me know how this turns out. Initial pictures look ok but rust would be a deal breaker for this particular project.

@TomRc the bottom outside edge has a slight amount of what looks like rust. It think it will polish off and not be noticeable.

Also, the igniter paddle has some wear. I removed it and there is no rust in the rectangle cut-out. I can include it, but it isn't suitable for your project.

And, except for the lower edge of the outside, any "rust looking spots" appear to be dirt that just didn't get cleaned off.

Message me directly and we’ll put a deal together. I can always use it on another project if it doesn’t pass scrutiny with the customer.
