    New use for heatermeter!

I have a few Spark Cores. An HM-type device would likely be different with a Core. I would forget about the display screen and button input (this functionality would be on your phone), so I think I/O pins would be OK. I'm pretty sure the meat would taste identical, though, so not much point...

PitDroid: An Android app for your HeaterMeter

I'm curious what the advantage a dedicated app has over a normal HTML5 interface?

    My stand alone heatermeter

Nice1 Jason. I'll be installing mine in a small Pelican case so I can keep my probes inside when not in use. I'll just make a panel to fit inside and mount everything below it. Got my RPi yesterday, HM4 board last week, parts are trickling in....

Blue Sky Stepper Damper thread - Breakout from RaspberryPi + LinkMeter blue sky

just to follow up, I heard back from him. He got busy with other things and had to leave the tinkering on that behind. He now uses a BBQGuru, which he says isn't as steady accurate as his method, but is good enough. I find that pretty encouraging. I'm tempted to fool around with a throttle...

I've been busy with work. Still would like to buy a board if anyone has extras. Has anyone explored mounting in a pelican case?

Blue Sky Stepper Damper thread - Breakout from RaspberryPi + LinkMeter blue sky

I believe that, in this case, the fan is used to effectively close-couple the damper valve/gate to the system, not drive the flow so much. I imagine a properly designed manifold would make the fan unnecessary, but might be difficult to implement and, at least, cumbersome. I've contacted the...

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

Hi, I'm new, here because of a search for Raspberry Pi smoker controller ;) I figgered somebody was already doing it. I currently am using an Arduino for my ghetto sous vide controller (had some 48 hour ribs last night!) and would love to implement the rPi with interface I've seen here...
