Boy that grill is so pretty and Fab looking you could just sit it there and never use it. a feast for the eyes. that said, im also a coal guy(performer)but love the gas for quick meals like burgers steaks and so forth.

My take, the Weber Performer is one of the best charcoal grills in the world. a masterpiece I love mine. the gas ignition has never failed me. that said i could never live with-out my gasser. its the best of both worlds. for something quick(burgers a staek)i need a gasser- for something slow...

Tom im pretty sure about 99% im going SS. i cooked a steak today on my silver with two year old PCI grates and they look a little beat up. replaced them because my other set rusted out. so SS will be my choice. now just trying to figure out if i want the sear station. dont care for the side burner.

hello. not sure where your getting it but Ace Hardware will/should deliver is assembled.

Not to concerned about life span when that span should be 4+ years... correct? more concerned about which ones better for grilling- are there issues with sticking on SS.(fish-chicken). how bout heat retention.

After owning my silver for around 8 years and only using the SB maybe 5 times i will not be getting the SB on my new grill. maybe the lack of using it was cooking corn or doing some onions or whatever used to much gas. maybe if i had NG id used it more.
