    Q220 vs Q200

A couple years back, I was planing to buy a 220, but bought a 200 off Ebay by mistake. I grumbled for a time, but the 200 does everything I need and I can't really think of a time the thermo would have been functional to the cook. I cart my grill around all the time to big trips, so space in my...

    Weber Q 320

Seems like a no-brainer to me. I'd go for the local unit. I'm in a similar siuation living in Japan. In your case, if the unit is broken/damaged in shipping you'll have to pay to have replacements sent in that case as well. With just one unlucky shipping mishap initially/warrantee issue...

    Bacon/breakfast on the Q griddle...fat/oil control

Hi Davo You've got the beer right...if it has to be Japanese beer, Ebisu is the way to go. Recently, I like lemon or grapefruit chuhai as my summer drink. Goes down way too easy, though... I was also worried the excessive grease runoff with a sheet might spark a fire, but was wondering if...

    Bacon/breakfast on the Q griddle...fat/oil control

I see... I have a grill sheet on the way...but bacon generates so much oil...using the grill sheet, does that all just pour into your grill, I guess, into the drip pan...

    Bacon/breakfast on the Q griddle...fat/oil control

I've just started using the griddle more to get the hang of it. Cooked up some bacon last night as an experiment. I was shocked at how much fat/oil was generated by only 4 pieces. I notice that the griddles for larger Weber grills have a trench for draining away that fat and oil. What have...

    Q 200 vs. 26 adults and 3 children

Hi Davo...I've had all those (been here 14 years) but not on the grill yet...let me know the next time you are coming around. We live not far from Tokyo.

    Q 200 vs. 26 adults and 3 children

Hi Davo Thanks for the reply. Yup, I've tried most of those with my family. We get some great Yakiniku meat here. It cooks up so fast and has none of the guesswork that thicker steaks involve. Some great sauces for that as well. Tonight, we're going to try Okonomiaki. This time, I'll aim to...

    Q 200 vs. 26 adults and 3 children

After warming up with several weeks of family use, my Q200 had it's first official mission as grill for the first of my group's weekend scuba diving trips. (it's main intended purpose). Over a 2-hour period, I manned the grill non-stop for a total of 40 hamburgers, 20 brats, 6 veggie burgers...

A few Qs about my new Weber Q

Hi Pinny Thanks for the suggestion. Next time I'll try to let it warm longer... Phil I like the look of that product, but they won't ship to Japan, it seems I'll have to see if I can work that out a different way. On the frank, we're of like minds. I'll be only changing the tank side...

A few Qs about my new Weber Q

Thanks for the reply, Davo I had noticed your avatar, I wondered about your Eastern connection... Our home is hooked up for LP gas. We have the big tanks in the back of our house. As far as I know, the law only allows for a 10 pound tank to be connected to outdoor gas grills. Also, the tank...

A few Qs about my new Weber Q

Hi All Wonderful forum. I recently received my Q200 after having a Weber Chargrill for years. I've always wanted a gas grill here in Japan. I've done a lot of searching and reading on the forum in the last couple days, so hopefully I won't be too clueless as a new user, but to some extent...
