I am sorry you are having problems with Stokerlog. Unfortunately, it is impossible to debug this kind of problem. It is very strange that you can access the stoker with browser but stokerlog can't do the same using HTTP. What version of Windows are you running?

One key parameter is the location of the pit probe. If it is too exposed to the flow of the blower, it can cause wide variations.

That may be a bug in stokerlog :). Have not tested dual fire probes in a long time. When that happens, simply use the web interface and reassociate the fire probe.

That's great. Turns out the link in the main thread was also wrong :(. It said one thing, but linked to a different file. I also fixed that.

This is strange as the link in the other thread said "RC3" as it should but pointed to "RC" version! I just fixed this and I am in communication with Rock's BBQ to fix their link just the same.

Hi the F1 key or select Help and you see a rather old edition of the Help file. It should however have all the essentials you need to get started with the program.

This was an early bug in that release that was fixed unless it is a Windows 8 thing (which sadly I have not tested, nor run a machine with it). Are you running the latest version? And is anyone else having the same issue?

Seems like a bug in Stokerlog. 2-fan mode is rarely used by anyone so it is possible something is broken. Or there is some incompatibility with Wifi. When I get a chance I will test it again and see what I can find.

I have not tested non-English installation of Window. Tell me where you have changed the locale and I see if I can duplicate the problem on my machine.

I have not heard of this problem. I would need to instrument it if you are still around.

I don't have a Windows 8 machine. Do others have similar problems?

Yes, I need to do that. Unfortunately it is fair bit of work as I changed computers and need to reinstall all the tools and get the setup working again. But I agree I need to do it.

Sorry guys. Been busy with many other projects :). Stokerlog seems quite stable right now and I don't plan to make changes to it unless there are any critical bugs.

Hi Dave. I have to re-do my development environment to make changes but yes, I am still here :). Latest release should not require admin privileges. Is that what you are running? You mean when you hit the Update button?

Older versions of storkerlog rang an alarm on lost connection. The current versions keep retrying to reconnect to stoker. You can test this by power cycling the stoker while stokerlog is running. That said, there are always tough corner cases with networking that are hard to troubleshoot...
