    Replacement part?

Does anybody out there know where I can find a replacement rocker switch assembly or just the bracket for an old genesis 2? I took my control panel off yesterday to clean it and in attempt to take the switch bracket off, it shattered in a dozen little pieces. Thanks!

    Is this a good find

Found this for sale near me. Listed for $60. I know nothing about charcoal grills.

Maybe I'll keep the one with the black knobs and just swap all the new oem parts I bought for the grey lid. And then buy some "flipper" parts for the grey one and sell that one.

In the mean time, I'm going to have to figure out what I'm going to do with my other gen 2. It's nearly winter time here so grilling season is about over. My I will order some flip grade parts and try to sell it. I don't know.

Great. Thanks for the info Bruce. A friend of mine is picking up the grill for me and holding it until I can get a chance to go get it. The owner verified the original lid color was black, her father originally purchased it, and gave it to her and her husband when he grew tired of it. And she...

Speaking of that blue lid you rescued. How did you get the paint off? Razor scraper?

If you look back at my original pictures you'll see I am also working on a Genesis 2. It would be really cool to restore a second one, but I have no need for a second gasser and my wife would kill me. I could maybe adapt parts from on to the other then sell off the extra. I'm not sure. I just...

My grill is missing the flip up table, the wood is all in pretty bad shape and the cookbox has a rusty corner, which led to another problem for the drip tray. The back right thread that holds the horizontal bar has corroded off. So the right bar is only supported by a single screw.

I will just leave this here

Cool. Thanks Bruce. I feel like a fool now for ordering OEM burners from Weber. Maybe burners can get added to the list for other people who may be wondering.

I need this for my project. With the exception of the lid being painted, it looks to be in great shape. And bonus, comes with the a full tank.

I'm just curious, I've searched the stickies and can't find this answer. What burners do you use to replace worn out ones. I've seen 3 tube set on Amazon for $25, compared to the $50 or so from other shops. I already bought and installed burners on my grill, but just wondering for future...

    Free PGS grill

Seems like there a lot of guys who might appreciate a grill like this. From what I can find this looks like a pretty pricey grill when new. It's an oldie for sure.

The quest for the holy grill

I'm just curious, because I am still relatively new to this group, what do you all consider the Holy Grill of grills. I'm constantly keeping track of what's available within a 300 mile radius, because I'm looking for some hard to find parts, but if you saw something, what would you jump the gun...

Was finally able to get this old Genny to breathe fire tonight. Can't tell you how excited I am that it works flawlessly. Now I can narrow my focus on making it look nice. Any direct tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So I ordered an adapter for a new QCC1 hose, but the size I ordered is wrong. This is what I ordered. Anderson Metals Brass Tube Fitting, Half-Union, 3/8" Flare x 1/4" Male Pipe https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B003RW4IWE/tvwb-20 Should I have ordered an 1/8npt x 3/8 flare? I was...

I'll post a picture tomorrow of the model# and serial#. From what I've read, based on those numbers it is indeed a gen2. But I'm no expert.
