Sorry I have been away a bit. I use a RD3 with a Pit Boss with very good results so let me get my setting for you.

If it means anything, I would find it helpful as well. I use the HM on different cookers and with 2 different size dampers (rd3 and rd25) and I also found the setting that work for low and slow are not best for hot cooks.

I am testing now and it looks like this bug is squashed. I did a few lid open-closed temp jumps from below 300 to over 800 and I have not lost the pit probe yet. THANK YOU.
