    Sorry

At the risk of pissing off a bunch of folks here, I'm going to call this Weber pellet grill fiasco for what it is...thus far, an unmitigated disaster from the premier name in outdoor cooking. Of course their customer service is responsive sending parts and covering up what they hope to...

    Considering a superautomatic

The superautomatics are also called bean to cup...completely hands off once you place your cup and press the button. The automation is contained inside and yes, you need to rinse and clean it and lube a few points on them routinely. Some have an automated milk frothing and dispensing function...

    Considering a superautomatic

Interesting for a semiautomatic. A Baratza grinder incorporated is a great feature but there's still several steps involved to make an espresso or more if it involves milk.

    Considering a superautomatic

Well delivered as promised. This machine is awesome. Still dialing it in but after about the 5th shot... excellent espresso with the push of a button. Looks brand new and still had the blue film on the drop tray. Super stoked.

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

UPS tells me that the Gaggia Brera is out for delivery today. Went to the Wegmans down the road and picked out these two. I was looking for dark but not oily. The Organic Espresso Blend is just that. The Bold is a slight bit oily but not like the Peet's or Costco Colombian Supremo. Interesting...

    The Searwood has arrived!

Get the pellet grill but keep the Genesis.

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

Here's a picture of the way they sell coffee. It's interesting and a good overall selection but doesn't lend itself well to preserving freshness. In reality, they are bins inside barrels with some burlap coffee sack props/dressing. Their already bagged beans are decent when they are on sale.

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

Yeah there's a grocery store chain in the Mid -Atlantic and Southeast called The Fresh Market. They sell at least 8-10 different types of beans all in barrels which you scoop into coffee bags yourself and mark the product number for weighing at checkout. Several are flavored...hazelnut...

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

I'm not sure. I know I've seen espresso roast beans that were not oily. So perhaps I'll seek out a medium roast to start.

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

I like the House Blend. It's solid and consistent. I'm looking for a suitable espresso roast that is not oily. It looks like UPS delivers the Gaggia Brera tomorrow. Now we're not heading to the beach until Saturday afternoon but that won't stop me from firing it up here in PA. So I'm going to...

    Pool cleaner experience?

Dedicated pump makes a difference. If the waterfall is on the Polaris won't work and vice versa. Filter system and pump are the next in line for replacement but probably have a few years left. I'll never put another heater in nor another chlorinator. The floating chlorinator works just fine.

    Pool cleaner experience?

Our pool is smaller. It's 25x12 and goes from 3-5.5'. Used the Polaris 360 for years. Always a PIA. New bags, New tires, New bearings, new tail scrubbers, new hoses and a new reverse valve. It got the pool bottom spotless but with the hose in the way and it always got hung up somewhere no...

    Pool cleaner experience?

Worked fine for the 2023 season. Will have its work cut out for it right after pool opens...5/3.

    Considering a superautomatic

You must be using a different Internet than me...and several million others, because I've read dozens of posts and reviews from folks that absolutely love their superautomatic machines. Dozens that swear by the same model I ordered alone...not to mention the more costly ones. Doesn't add up...

Turkey and rib roast on deck for the Oakford

Looks OK. Certainly cooks faster when spatchcocked.

Turkey and rib roast on deck for the Oakford

Looks ok. Smells awesome. I think I put the Inkbird probe in wrong. It's reading way higher than as actual with the Thermapen. I cranked it to 350. It's getting there.

Turkey and rib roast on deck for the Oakford

OK. I spatchcocked this little bird. 10 lbs. Dry rub. Smoke gor an hour at about 220 or do and then crank to 325 to finish. We'll see how it goes.
