    For you espresso guys

Not looking but a video on this thing popped into my feed a couple days ago. And it caught my eye because of the brand "Shardor" and some may recall I was quite impressed with how good a little $35 grinder could do. So I looked up info on it on YouTube, and it looks like this thing is "killing...

I wish I could eat salmon

Grandson wanted salmon for his b/day supper. I put a half side of salmon from Norway on with a nice rub and brown sugar hickory glaze. I know it would have been outstanding but ever since having Schmuks nearly kill me because they cut up chicken on the same board with no proper sanitation I've...

    Summit Silver

My brother has this Summit Silver 4 burner w/side burner. Firebox (he says) is solid, (FWIW I was cooking on it today and it was doing exceptionally well), it has RCPlanebuer (AKA Dave Santana) grates he made for him OEM replacement Flavorizer bars, IIRC I even put all new burners in it a few...

    Here is a Lumin Bargain

So, IIRC there was a Lumin electric grill listed here. I was pretty surprised finding out what they cost. So, that being said here is what appears to be a brand new one for cheap https://www.facebook.com/share/19NLFrjf7q/

Proof you don't need a fire breathing monster

So I did a large filet mignon steak tonight on the Ninja. Set it on high grill and woodfire. I think anyone would agree it came out great

    Hot Wings tonight

Hot wings tonight made with (Killer Hogs Hot dry rub), on the Ninja. Done at air crisp 450, with woodfire smoking turned on for about 35 min. Hoping for nice crispy skin and tender insides. A nice side of rice and steamed buttered carrots to round it out.

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

So, because of my needs/desires (I know first world problems), I really dislike having minerals in the water that makes my ice. So, I have an RO system specifically for my refrigerator. And I have a second filtration system to which I run water prior to the softening system (to keep the TDS) for...

A new Single Malt I found

So today while perusing the Single Malts at Costco (always looking for the next great bargain find) :D Anyway I came across this one from a distillery named Talisker. Finished in Amoroso Sherry casks. (whatever amoroso is)

Saw a new Weber Griddle Yesterday

So yesterday was out at Farm & Fleet. Noted they have the new Weber griddle (Slate IIRC?). I have to say compared to the first time I saw a Weber griddle (pre Slate) this thing was SOLID. Right next to a Blackstone of same size. BS was crazy flimsy in comparison. Though it was about $200...

Big Z doing it's job today

Nice slab of beef plate shortribs still in nearing completion, half a bone in pork shoulder just came out and in the cooler resting, marinara simmering away. All for daughter's (youngest) birthday today. 35 Seems like yesterday we brought her home in the infant carrier, and now I've got her 3...

    Heckuva Hail Storm

So, last night while I was cooking up sausage and peppers on my Ninja we got one helluva hail storm. Definitely gonna need my roof checked. It even ripped the cover on my Weber outdoor fireplace. I did not lift the cover off yet to see if the top is damaged. Dented Big Z as well. Glad I didn't...

For those of you doing a lot of painting

I stumbled onto some vids that may be of help to those of you who paint a lot and are addicted to rattle cans. Just a little food for thought As IMO once dialed in even the cheapest $12 HF HVLP gun will do a better job than a rattle can

    A tool I am selling

Hey guys, I have this little Makita impact screwdriver. Like an impact gun but slender. I've found it over the years to be too powerful for the work I do on mixers. But perhaps for some of those things on grills where getting into a tight spot and breaking something loose with an impact might be...

Did a Tri Tip last night

So, while at Cattle and Cream 2 or 3 mos ago, I came across something I'd not seen. A "Midwest Cut Tri Tip". Looked like any other Tri Tip to me. I snagged it and stashed in the freezer. Decided to throw it on BIg Z yesterday. Ran it at 235 until the Chef IQ probes were reporting 115. Pulled and...
