    Refreshing my 2008 Summit S-670

I would contact Weber immediately as you are the original owner. Firebox should not have burn through holes or rot holes

    Started playing with Coleman things...

Awesome thanks Josh. The wooden handles are charred and a couple of gouges in the porcelain but structurally looks ok. It doesn’t look to hard to clean up

    Started playing with Coleman things...

Hi All, Do any of you Coleman aficionados know about this firepit? Looks to be well built and in decent pre-restoration shape. Is it missing anything major? Thank you

I will just leave this here

The knobs are a generic replacement set. Same stem dimensions as the Weber’s from that era.

    Genesis 1100 Gas Flow Oddity

Probably spider web or nest somewhere in the manifold assembly restricting gas flow.

    Reputable websites to buy parts???

I 2nd grill parts.com You will pay more. The parts are Weber or vetted aftermarket with no fit or finish issues. I buy long crossover tubes and cut them down if needed. The diameter is the same on Weber Summit and Genesis gas grill models

    Summit infrared burner

My guess is an aftermarket burner that goes on the left side of the main grill

    Summit infrared burner

Hi, Why are there flavor bars over the IR burner? I would think it puts out radiant heat like a broiler

    First time Genesis C

I picked up the same grill for free with the same issues last night. I done them before and have extra parts so I will be ok. I prefer the newer Genesis C and B frames. The old x000’s and B and C’s are kind of rickety. I usually weld the frames to stiffen them up. But if you like wood and red...

    First time Genesis C

Hi Scott, it looks like there may be issues with the grease pan and catcher on that one. The frame looks ok. The grill is very dirty from use which tells me it wasn’t maintained well. I would be ok buying it without the tank for around $20 to $40. I’d be more comfortable taking for free...

Thank you for adding the final step in the process. I was wondering why I wasn’t succeeding

That’s fade. It almost looks like a mica type finish on the porcelain. I believe it was a result of the manufacturing process where something got into the porcelain mix. I restored one earlier in the summer and you can see the sparkling lid and me in the reflection The person who took the...

Used a Vending Machine for my Blue Rhino Propane Tank Exchange

Hi, New to me - I used a vending machine for my Blue Rhino Propane Tank exchange at Walmart in Bellingham MA Apparently it’s 24-7 availability with a credit card. I used cash inside and the receipt give me an access code that opened a locker door for the empty tank first. Load empty in close...

    Curb Alert !!!

It’s better to leave them in the shade outside of any living spaces. Stored upright. Leave in a milk crate to keep them from rolling around

    56" Vieluxe Redux

Crossover tubes are not always great either. Jetfire schemes can get complex too

    56" Vieluxe Redux

That would probably open up better options for burner tubes. If each tube could be fitted with an igniter you wouldn’t need crossover tubes. If you don’t need crossover tubes you may be able to use Genesis E-3xx front burner tubes or it’s much easier “pinching” a long tube than trying to...

Trying to save Weber Genesis 310 from 2010

Hi Chad, the bottom panel is no longer available from Weber from what I understand. You need to brace the side panels at the bottom where the bottom panel used to be. The bottom panel is structural, holding the frame together. Whether you do it with wood or metal it’s up to you based what...

I like the additional space in the cabinet and easy access to the tank valve.
