I will just leave this here

I don’t think you can go longer than the long Weber which is about 42 inches tip to tip including connectors. I haven’t seen longer hoses for 20lb tank and grill. My guess is pressure in the 20lb tank might be an issue with say a 12ft hose used for a whole house supply

I will just leave this here

I don’t buy regulator hose assemblies, I get enough off Weber parts grills to fulfill my needs. I test them and very rarely get a failure. The regulator hose assembly I like for the Q is from the front burner big Genesis with cabinets. The regulator hose assembly that has a long 42 inch hose...

Genesis 1000 burner tube and cook box interior questions

I suspect a dirty firebox absorbs heat and a clean one reflects heat. How much of difference? On the old grills I either get greaseballs on one end of the spectrum and dry ones with corrosion on the other end. I prefer the greaseballs - just scrape, burn off and brush The dry ones tend to be...

Saw this for possible faded grill help

Hi Jon, how long would you test before giving a thumbs up? I know you can rub oil onto a faded black lid and it will look ok for awhile.

Weber Silver B with propane tank that's 3/4 full, saving you $65 dollars.$320

Following the tank theme. I visited Walmart in Massachusetts for an exchange the other night. Blue Rhino’s were $19.92 for exchange and $54.95 no exchange. 15lbs of Propane in a 20lb tank. Tax included. While I waited at Walmart I picked out my tank in the cage as I am more interested in the...

    Started playing with Coleman things...

The lanterns are getting harder to find. I used to get them from yard sales and house clean outs before Covid. They were usually overlooked and left in the free pile of items that didn’t sell. They are an easy sell to collectors. Yard sales and moving sales went way down after Covid. And the...

Old propane tanks with quick connect

Hi Mark, You should be able to swap that male connector onto a modern regulator hose assembly if you have one. There is a brass fitting inside the black Acme nut on a modern regulator hose assembly that connects to the propane tank. You can remove that brass fitting if it is a hex nut with an...

It will fit on a Silver B. You are unlikely to be satisfied however. The end caps are not interchangeable with a Silver B curvy lid

    Weber Summit 650 refurb

Do you think you could modify the part with a metal tube? Or maybe you need to go to Florida USA to pick up the part?

    Porcelain grates

Welcome to the forum, I have had good overall warranty experience with Weber. The Weber customer service team is empowered to address customer satisfaction. So I would make sure your grill is registered. Once registered, call Weber support and state your case. If you need or could use...

    Weber Summit 650 refurb

That’s a Jetfire type ignition. The tips are some type of iron and tend to rot after many heat-cool cycles weakens them. I can’t imagine there is a great supply of used Summits in your area to harvest parts from. Every burner tube needs its own ignition in that design. You might want to...

That was better than nothing. The original side tables were plastic and burnt with a hot pot pretty bad.

    2000 Redhead Rehab

You can drill through the firebox and mount aluminum flatbar for rails using nuts and bolts if you can’t use the original mounting points. Front panel provides some lateral support for the legs. The legs can get wobbly on those grills. A brace or gussets if you don’t have access to a welder...

    2000 Redhead Rehab

You probably need a parts grill or 2 if you want to do a full restoration. You might have some in your area. You can repair that one but it will need some surgery The one thing to keep in mind how long do you want it to last? A year or 2 no problem. 5 or more years you will need to stockpile...

    Curb Alert !!!

Hi Hank, I know the x and y axis is the same but I never noticed that the z-axis height was different. Here are 2 pictures of grills I had from the same time period - late 90’s. I think might be an illusion since the firebox on the Genesis is taller than the Spirit. Or maybe the geometry is...

They are too thin for slats. We have a few sets that my wife uses for doormats. They use a plastic backing that allows them flex a little and not get crushed provided they are on a solid surface.

That sounds like a Spirit 700 3 burner. It’s the same size lid and firebox as a Genesis B/C

    Curb Alert !!!

Silver A’s are nice grills. They are smaller than B’s and C’s. Most parts are not interchangeable. Just knobs, wheels, tank scale, regulator hose assembly and fasteners are common. There is not a big market for Silver A’s.
