Q: while cracking off an old control knob on a 99' Genesis 3000 LX-LP side burner, I accidentally cranked the vertical manifold knob to far right. now it turns on ok..high/low when turned left, but unfort. it does NOT stop at the 12/6 o'clock straight up position with the stop/notch/catch...

yes...the widest I've used so far, (5.25") and the MOST color wood combos....its def. a more unique looking grill. I think the more narrow wood 1.50" looks best..just TOO MUCH labor to install/measure/screw. Out of any restoration, attaching wood slats is the BIGGEST pain! I often just leave...

Correct! I meant remove the burner tube w/ vise lock and not even mess with the guide bolt..my bad... (the prior owner had completely tightened guide bolt so the burner tube did not slide out)

yes!! YES!! my bad...I never should have tried to unscrew it after realizing how tight it was on....I just should have wd/40 to lubricate it and then vise grips to PULL OUT!! lesson learned..........

While replacing burner tubes on this 20+ yr old beast...i busted the head off bolt of the end burner tube guide screw/bolt. Tried drilling out..no luck. so..now when pushing down control knob to start, tube lifts up 1"...any thoughts?? high heat glue??
