Last I checked, Dave was not making the grates because of supply issues. That was probably some time last year though. Has he started back up making them?

It has a propane regulator hanging off the manifold, maybe an NG grill that someone just "switched " to LP?

This grill is definitely older than 1994. The Genesis 2 had a serial number that did not date code it, therefore unable to tell the exact age. The L3 indicates a Propane Genesis 2 model. These were made between 1985 and 1992. Very cool piece of Weber history.

Correct me if I am wrong, and I’ve never worked on a Gold C, but I have restored a Silver C. The end caps to the hood have studs or posts that are part of the end cap, not a hole for a bolt? If the gold is like the silver, then this should be the case. What you would need to attach the end...
