I just restored and sold the same one. I bought for $200 and put $200 into it (new igniters, burners, and grates). Just sold (after 2 months) for $900.https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/930533879186709/
Did you have any problems getting homeowners insurance in FL? I have heard it could be a problem or very expensive, but probably still less than the real-estate taxes in NJ';-)
I will NEVER miss records, scratches, pops, jumps, portability, etc. When CD's came out I never looked back. The ONLY thing better about LP's was the nice big artwork IMHO.
Nice setup. I have just recently gone back down this rabbit hole. I picked up a bunch of old stereo stuff a guy was giving away as he was cleaning out his garage. That haul had an old Kenwood system in original boxes from the 90's with a cabinet that was never set up. After listening to it...
Why does the hopper look like it is mounted differently in these 2 photos. One seems much higher than the other. Also there is an option for a roti it seems.
Makes sense as most thermostatically controlled electric and gas devices (ovens, heaters) use the same principle I would think. They only have on / off. The only exceptions would be devices with variable speed fans, augers, etc.
After Bruce showed off his I bought one and use it for grinding a lot. I even came up with an inexpensive rubber jaw replacement that is on this forum someplace as the OEM is too expensive. It has held up great.
That is probably my favorite Genesis, but I like to be able to move stuff in and out like to a tray without possibility of dripping that you can only do from a front shelf.
