    Had a great week!

Wow, that's crazy to buy that many from one person. Probably an estate sale or something?

    Wasn't expecting this...

That cleaned up very well. Amazing you picked that up for free

Would you buy used Weber EX6 Gen 2?

Someone on this forum mentioned that Weber is being pretty strict on the SmokeFire in regards to the warranty. Meaning, you have to provide proof of purchase that YOU bought the unit. That's one of the reasons I'd be leery of buying a used unit, unless it was a really good price. I think having...

50 pack of masks for $10.49 - Keep your nose (and mouth) clean!

Try cleaning out the inside of a Genesis firebox with an angle grinder and cup brush without wearing a mask. I don't care to breath that stuff in no matter what immunity I may lose.

    Thermometer installation for 22” kettle

If I had a lid without a thermometer, I'd add it just below the vent. Whenever I grill I have charcoal on 1 side and typically I care most about what the temp is on the indirect / food side of the grill. And I keep the vent side of the lid above the food, opposite the charcoal. The built-in...

    Vortex

Using the GBS grate and wok is so quick and easy. You'll love it. https://tvwbb.com/threads/stir-fry-on-performer-using-a-wok.80976/

Performer 2010 model with electric igniter?

I prefer the older "clunk" style. Those newer ones aren't very durable. The cheap plastic button breaks, the battery has to be replaced every now and then. The piezo / clunk style just works and it hard to kill. I still have my original igniter on a 20+ year old Performer. If yours stopped...

    2005 Performer Refurb

Give it a good cleaning with some Simple Green and it will look good as new. Save any extra spare/old parts for your next project. I'm sure you didn't spend anywhere near $459+tax for your grill. They say time is money, but me personally I prefer tinkering around with grills in the garage...

FB Find: EX4 in NC, $500

    2005 Performer Refurb

Most of the parts on the parts on the Gen 2-4 Performers are pretty interchangeable. Buy that $40 one and salvage what you can. You should be able to piece together a pretty nice grill between that one and the one you already have.

Weber jumbo joe stuck bottom vent

If those recommendations don't work, try spraying the stuck vents really well with oven cleaner...let it sit overnight and see if that does the trick.

Just thought I would post this in case

I saw this posted on a FB group. One guy went and looked at them in person and said they were not worth buying. Guessing they kept these grills outside...maybe even with the lids off

Limited Edition Glen Blue Weber 26 in. charcoal grill $700

Guess he bought it just to resell it 6 months later for $200 profit? I have a feeling Weber will be making these limited edition kettles pretty often, given how successful this color was. Probably will do a different model in a unique color next.....just guessing though.

    Nice Little Grill.

Agree with you guys. The 300-3000 series Q is a fantastic grill. The guys that use those new big 4-5 burner genesis grills as their daily driver must love getting their propane tanks refilled.

That is really cool. I also would clean those up really well and see what they sell for. Titanium sounds expensive.

50 pack of masks for $10.49 - Keep your nose (and mouth) clean!

I use the angle grinder and sandpaper sometimes when cleaning / restoring grills. I wear a face mask to keep all the dust and crud from going up my nose....certainly can't be healthy inhaling all that junk. Found these at a good price. For me it ended up being 22 cents a mask. Or $11.12 for the...
