    Rusted parts in 97 Performer

I am lucky that my bowl and ash catcher are in good condition. My lid has a dent in it and about half dollar size spot where the porcelain is gone. I guess I will have to paint it. I am thinking of taking the lid to a body shop and seeing if they can knock out the dents without hurting the...

    Rusted parts in 97 Performer

Thanks guys. Now at long last I have the excuse for a Dremel. Pat mine has the ash catcher. It had everything, but the 5lb tank & the chacoal grate. I checked with Weber on the tank and it is on back order with no date, so I went with a different tank. Had to change the quick connect for a...

Any Bay Area Performer (Stainless) owners out there?

Don, I purchase a regular connection for under $9 and unscrewed my quick disconnect and screwed the new connector in and I can now use it with any regular propane tank. My Performer did not have a tank when I bought it and the only place I could find one with a quick disconnect was Weber and...

    Performer Clean Up

Yeah, the more I thought about wax the more I thought wax was a bad idea. Don't know how the wax would react to the heat. I think I will try the simple green and a power wash. I am still not sure the best way to get the stainless table top cleaned up. It has some circular gunk on it. Looks...

    Performer Clean Up

Thanks for clarifying the "film" and the simple green suggestion. After it is cleaned up should I wax the outside of the bowl or the stainless table, and if so, what wax is recommended?

    Performer Clean Up

I just scored a 1997 Performer. It has not been well taken care of. The stainless is stained and the bowl and lid are dirty inside and out. Additionally the lid has some black film like stuff on the inside. What is the best way to clean it up? Thanks in advance for your help
