Two Weeks and 770 Miles, Three Grills, Still not Happy.

Sure looks good to me Rich. You could always rip some cedar slats and handle if the durawood stains bother you.

    Genesis 1000 Refurb

if you have a table saw to rip them, Cedar or Cypress deck or fence planks are not hard to find and will provide for the longest lasting wood slats. Redwood is another option but pricey. Stay away from oak or poplar (widely available at box home improvement stores) it will warp and 'check' in...

Dirty Drip Tray Contest- Show me your worst!

LOL, The fact that I see some ash in there, it would seem to me that he did have some fires! when I got my Genesis of CL it was the same way. the guy pulled it out when he was showing me the grill and walked over to his flower garden and just dumped it in there. mine cleaned up well also. I'm with Rich, if you swapped and ruled out the regulator, have you tried a different tank? those are the 'common' culprits for your symptoms.

    Are you Kidding ME ???

I agree with the angle grinder, it has a bit more muscle than the drill. I have a cup brush for mine with the Nylon bristles that are infused with aluminum oxide that works really well when cleaning aluminum. I also used a scotch brite pad chucked in a pneumatic die grinder for my last fire box...

    Transporting old Genesis Silver B

You'll be fine. I've moved several in my Subaru Forester as well. Just like Kevin said, Be prepared to remove the lid and of course grates and bars (bring something to put them in, trash bag etc.) and your good to go. Depending on what SUV you have you might not even have to remove the lid. Good...

First Weber Gas Grill - 1993 Genesis Red 1100

Mark, I used a high heat gloss on my frame and lid sides, and the flat on the fire box. as to whether the high heat was necessary for the frame, not sure, but the fire box gets pretty hot and sits in the frame so I didn't want to take any chances.
