The OG summit burners will be 0.5in shorter and the flame will start very close to the front panel of the cook box - but it really is the only option if you can’t salvage the Vieluxe burners I would probably consider welding closed the first few orifices to keep the flames off the front panel...

My Vieluxe spit is 3/8” square throughout its length and tapers to 5/16” square at the tip that engages into the motor drive

They’re actually a PoziDrive screw… search in this site Phillips head can be had with the correct threading, but the head will be very tight in the cavity. This is what I did but can’t remember the exact screw - I believe it may be metric

So…Jon and I have Summit 450’s which were sold at same time as Vieluxe - my grill (and I’m assuming Jon’s) has never had a problem with the crossovers (in the rear) getting fouled with drippings - even without shields over them The next generation of Summit (gold and platinum) moved crossovers...

I don’t think you need to replace the flavorizers… if you do decide to order spares, consider just the bars without the tack welded shields covering the crossovers - they will be much cheaper (and Dave has stacks of them ready to go) You should order spare crossovers (whenever you order other...
