Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

So, I'm already really having a hard time with the thought of giving away my SSP Performer. Lol. I have decided to get a new 5lb tank and hose adapter to use on the WSK as an homage to the SSP.

Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

Well, I was a bit more methodical as it took me 3 hours for the assembly. Took some pics of the perfectly clean and shiny insides for posterity. Comparison to my SSP Performer.

He did 8 fullsized pork butts. Used two fire bricks to hold up a 22" grate for a top level.

Then my only other advice is do what I did and get her a purse that costs the same and then you can get it. lol. It's not the most fiscally responsible way, but it IS a way.

Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

Well, that's on you a little bit. You HAVE to have a reason locked up and ready to go. lol. And, it's a grill so anything you say she probably won't really care about anyway, so just have something ready. "Because of the double walled design I will use way less charcoal and it'll allow me to...

    Mesquite turkey breast

Thanks for the input. I definitely wanted your perspective. I will use my WSK for a while and see how I feel after that. If it proves to be the flagship/centerpiece I think it might, then I can make a new plan. lol.

So, mine was supposed to be delivered on the 21st of December but I just got a call from a trucking company asking if they could deliver it tomorrow. YES, YES you can! lol. Mesquite turkey breast

I'm looking forward to it. I've had my SSP Performer for years and never ever thought of not using it until I saw the $625 off on the S6. Finally helped me pull the trigger. The more I research and watch videos about it the more excited I get. We are in the process of building a new house...

    Mesquite turkey breast

So, I just ordered my WSK and I'm going back through older threads looking for WSK info. This cook looks amazing and I particularly love turkey. My wife is a ham person when it comes to the holiday meals so I make the turkey myself and have been doing breasts like this for the last few years...

Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

So, in deciding what to do with my SSP... My son is about to graduate this year from the Air Force Academy. I already have a Q2200 ready for him since I figured the first few years after graduation he'll be in apartments or something similar and might not be able to use charcoal. But, I asked...

Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

Well, sure we'll call it that. Lol. My wife found an expensive purse that she wanted and I said yes as long as I could get the grill. Lol. So, thankfully it was on sale. Honestly, I really wanted to pull the trigger since this is the version with the gas assist. I've grown spoiled with my SSP...

Cyber Monday - Weber Summit Kamado S6

I've been thinking of getting the Summit Kamado as well. I feel like I'm cheating on my redhead SSP. Lol. But, I have a Hunsaker griddle plate for the SSP so I figured I could clean up the redhead, and put that griddle plate in it and use it as a mobile bar or prep area for cooking.

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

We've moved from OKC to SE Georgia but we still get our beans from a local place in OKC. Great coffee. https://claritycoffee.com/wholebean That's mostly for the wife for her Breville Barista Pro. I'm a bit of a philistine with coffee and I stick to my Community Coffee. Love NOLA and got a...

A new Weber pellet grill - The Searwood

I get the feeling this is just the pellet smoker they would have put out if they didn't rush the SmokeFire to market. It is just rebranded with a new name to lose all the stigma and bad reviews. lol. They all stay with the Smokefire models.

    Wireless Sound System for TV

This is another reason I stick to Polk Audio for my sound especially with the soundbars. They are creating equipment that must work with all brands of televisions and players. LG also makes televisions and players so it's not beyond the realm to at the very least make it work flawlessly with...

    Wireless Sound System for TV

I haven't looked at it in a bit, but there are sound settings in the Roku menu and I'm pretty sure there is a setting about which audio it outputs. You might check that.
