    Spirit 200 wheels coming apart

I would get some casters with a flat top for mounting and bolt them to the Spirit base. They should be tall enough to protrude from the concave base. You can get casters from Amazon or harbor freight

Weber Genesis Platinum, I bought in Wausau,Wisconsin. Will be drastically modified.

There might be a food grade or a caster made for biotech made out of stainless but it would probably be pricey. I would probably use a plastic plate or something non conductive between the two dissimilar metals

I will just leave this here

Big tree fell on this one. It still had some salvageable parts.

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

That looks great. Just make sure you paint the outside of the firebox with high heat paint to seal up the bare spots to prevent further corrosion

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

Thread in valves like the early round manifold Genesis B/C The side tables are plastic. Not durawood, not thermoset Weber skimped on the frame. Just 1 lower bar in the center for stability I don’t see them much. This is one I did with a mix of parts

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

The 900 and 700 use the same firebox as a Genesis B/C. The frames don’t have end caps like the Genesis B/C They have a round tube manifold that’s the same dimensions as a Genesis B/C Most parts are still available

Why? Oh Why do I see this more than I want?

Steaks are off the weekly menu. No one seems to miss them… moved to kebobs which everyone likes Dumb luck that hamburgers on the menu are now 4oz smash burgers by request rather than the 8oz fancy ones. Chicken and pork chops are pretty reasonable.

    Curb Alert !!!

It’s a frozen food company kind of like Omaha Steaks. For some reason just about every blue lid in New England has the AFF logo. I wish it was an Iconic brand logo like Coca-Cola or a big Sports team like you see on some kettles

I would reference the custom stainless frames GShafer? built for 13 bar fireboxes for some ideas

That’s got the droops. You can fix it with a weld or a self-tapping screw. I’ve had 5 or 6 of them over the years. I either swap the parts out to black and sell the grill or sell the frame. I don’t like the one off grey parts and grey end cap lids.

I will just leave this here

I’m battling cold weather, below 50f, for 7 months. The longer hose is a little easier to bend when connecting to the tank

I will just leave this here

I don’t think you can go longer than the long Weber which is about 42 inches tip to tip including connectors. I haven’t seen longer hoses for 20lb tank and grill. My guess is pressure in the 20lb tank might be an issue with say a 12ft hose used for a whole house supply

I will just leave this here

I don’t buy regulator hose assemblies, I get enough off Weber parts grills to fulfill my needs. I test them and very rarely get a failure. The regulator hose assembly I like for the Q is from the front burner big Genesis with cabinets. The regulator hose assembly that has a long 42 inch hose...

Genesis 1000 burner tube and cook box interior questions

I suspect a dirty firebox absorbs heat and a clean one reflects heat. How much of difference? On the old grills I either get greaseballs on one end of the spectrum and dry ones with corrosion on the other end. I prefer the greaseballs - just scrape, burn off and brush The dry ones tend to be...

Saw this for possible faded grill help

Hi Jon, how long would you test before giving a thumbs up? I know you can rub oil onto a faded black lid and it will look ok for awhile.

Weber Silver B with propane tank that's 3/4 full, saving you $65 dollars.$320

Following the tank theme. I visited Walmart in Massachusetts for an exchange the other night. Blue Rhino’s were $19.92 for exchange and $54.95 no exchange. 15lbs of Propane in a 20lb tank. Tax included. While I waited at Walmart I picked out my tank in the cage as I am more interested in the...

    Started playing with Coleman things...

The lanterns are getting harder to find. I used to get them from yard sales and house clean outs before Covid. They were usually overlooked and left in the free pile of items that didn’t sell. They are an easy sell to collectors. Yard sales and moving sales went way down after Covid. And the...
