    Weber Summit Platinum D6 NOS

That looks to be flat stock that they are welded to, to keep them in place. Also looking closely they sort of look hollow.

    Front shelf for Q

But back on topic. Tom is correct that those side shelves on the new Q don't look too sturdy.

    Front shelf for Q

I loved it. The one on my MB is too narrow and would like another 4". I guess enough folks agree, as there are quite a few larger aftermarket kits.

    Front shelf for Q

That is probably my favorite Genesis, but I like to be able to move stuff in and out like to a tray without possibility of dripping that you can only do from a front shelf.

    Front shelf for Q

I had fold up front shelves on my first Sunbeam and did not realize how much is missed it until I got the Broilmaster with the flip up front also. I am thinking of how to do it on my Napoleon, as when I use the IR side burner I usually use the inside of the grill as a shelf. You can never have...

    Front shelf for Q

I really like front shelves. Makes it easy to move food in and out. I keep thinking of making the one on my Masterbuilt larger and maybe adding something like this to my little Char-Griller.

Orange flame on indoor appliances - Cool explanation

I grew up with gas ranges and much prefer them over electric. However our current stove does have the knobs in front and I have had the problem you mentioned with accidently turning the gas on. It is a real issue. I did buy a gas detector and have it plugged in next to the stove and it...

Orange flame on indoor appliances - Cool explanation

We have been using these for years with RO water. I do a thorough cleaning weekly. We used to use the hot air ones that basically boiled the water until I figured out how much $$ in electric they cost to operate. I will look into the evaporative ones as you suggested. This really goofed me...

Orange flame on indoor appliances - Cool explanation

My home gas is propane. So yesterday I turned on my stove and found my flames to be really orange (normally really blue) like they needed more O2. Then I noticed the pilot light on my heater was also orange. I was thinking nothing changed except the weather. What is going on. I did some...

Coffee Beans what's in your grinder ???

I got these beans roasted in VA, at Costco last week and just tried them. Quite good. Even has the roasted dated. Medium to dark with some nice oily sheen.

I will just leave this here

Too bad there is no market for Ducane grills. This one looks almost as nice as the Viking I did for $50. Does anyone know what material the grates are as they look massive but don't know if they can be saved. The stainless may be worth $50;-)...
