Frank, I like the older Heavy Duty genuine Weber Covers with the vented mesh openings. They are much thicker than most covers. There is one right now over on e-bay. It's an older early 2000s cover but brand new in the box. Search out Weber 9855 cover. Jeff

Mark, That is correct. I've had several of both of those style grilles and the older late 90s model pictured at top is a 13 bar box like the 1000-5000 series Genesis. The early 2000-2001 model is a unique 5 bar tall height Flavorizer Bar model. Both are great grilles. Jeff

David, Great find on that Genesis Platinum. I gotta agree with Tom, that Smoker is all but useless. If it is a keeper invest in the best Grates you can, you'll be glad you did. Jeff

Regarding the Assembly Bolts I would order Black Stainless Steel Bolts to keep it looking original but still provide some rust protection. Mcmaster-Carr has a good selection.

What I would do is coat all internal lower frame pieces with Fluid Film and on those two lower frame pieces I would use these plugs.
