    Little Griddle - Thoughts?

My GrillGrates arrived... I'm going to cook some smashburgers tonight on the flat side. If it does not work out well for me, I won't be too upset. I do have a 14 inch Lodge cast iron Pizza Pan that I was using on my kamado. But I think the aluminium grates are gonna be fantastic :) I'll post...

    Little Griddle - Thoughts?

Agreed. What I posted works. But does not work as well as having a true flat griddle without holes. Nice looking Smashburgers you have there!! -T

    Little Griddle - Thoughts?

That's precisely the way you do it. And it is still considered a Smashburger IMO if you smash them on and non-grill surface. :) If you smash the burger on a non-grill surface, then you get them to the right thickness.. And they are flat on the bottom. So when they are placed on the upside down...

    Sunday dinner with LarryGrates

I'll chime in with a few points. I'm not here to defend grillgrates, per se, since I just ordered a set and have not used them yet. But I watched a lot of videos and I saw the results :-) I did not buy grillgrates for the sear marks. I have stainless steel grates on my current Weber gasser. I...

    Which gasser should I get?

You might want to consider the 400-series Genesis 2. I just purchased one. The special edition model with stainless steel flavorizer bars and grates. 900 bucks free shipping no tax. I did consider the se310. Very nice Grill. Came really close to buying that one. But I think what it really...

    Little Griddle - Thoughts?

Thanks for all the feedback. Decided to go with grillGrates... 4 of them, and use upside down when wanting griddle space. Got 15 percent off with promo code. -T

    Little Griddle - Thoughts?

I saw these on Amazon and YouTube. They are stainless steel griddles. I posted a link below because they have several. seems like they provide more surface area than grillgrates and are cheaper. At least in terms of dollars per square inch. I was leaning towards the grillgrates but only to...

Is someone actually grilling on a Genesis II?

Chiming in late as a new owner :) I bought the SE-410 for 900... No tax and free shipping. Reaches 550 in under 15 minutes. Cooked on it last weekend... Only one cook this far. Fit an finish is fantastic. It's a solid grill that weighs nearly 200 pounds. This is my second Weber gasser... I...

    Genesis II SE-410 Ordered!!

Perhaps. I had changed out the grates once (came with raw cast iron, replaced with PECI after a few years), replaced the flavorizer bars, and the burners. Cart eventually rusted thru. Had a good run :) -T

    Genesis II SE-410 Ordered!!

I just ordered the SE-410. Color is Crimson.. to match the color of my car :-). Not exact match but it pretty close. I got them down to a little bit under the normal asking price of 949. Plus no tax and free shipping. Arrives in a week. It really came down to this model and the S-310... I...

    Hey from Florida

Hi. A bit about me... my First grill was a Kenmore that used a soup can to catch grease. Second grill was a Weber Genesis Gold I think it was called. Latest 15 years. Bought a non-weber Kamado 2 years ago. Now I am looking for a weber gasser again to rounds things out... -T
