May be easier to remove all media from RO and fill housings with your bleach mixture - importantly make sure RO membrane is removed Remove inline filters and replace with John Guest connectors Run faucet until you detect bleach- then let sit. Overnight if not too strong…

Does anyone know what size these tiny valve screws are?

They’re actually a PoziDrive screw… search in this site Phillips head can be had with the correct threading, but the head will be very tight in the cavity. This is what I did but can’t remember the exact screw - I believe it may be metric

So…Jon and I have Summit 450’s which were sold at same time as Vieluxe - my grill (and I’m assuming Jon’s) has never had a problem with the crossovers (in the rear) getting fouled with drippings - even without shields over them The next generation of Summit (gold and platinum) moved crossovers...

I don’t think you need to replace the flavorizers… if you do decide to order spares, consider just the bars without the tack welded shields covering the crossovers - they will be much cheaper (and Dave has stacks of them ready to go) You should order spare crossovers (whenever you order other...

Be especially careful with the burners as they are unique in design and material (SR18 stainless steel) You can probably leave the burners in place and scrape around them. I probably won’t touch mine until the crossovers need to be replaced. The entire grease trough removes for easy cleanup...

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

Have you tried a carafe style filter like a Brita to polish the water right before you use it? If you use RO water maybe you could find a cartridge that is only carbon - that is really what I think you need Brita would remove some dissolved solids as well, which you would not want to use with...

Welcome to the club! Flavorizer bars are generally used until they fall apart - rust wouldn’t bother me as long as they serve their function Any griddle insert that will fit the OG Spirit 300 will work. I bought the full griddle from Weber that is the corrosion resistant steel like on the...

Tired of running multiple water filter systems

RO doesn’t specifically target taste and odor - it is basically a super efficient particulate filter. Carbon is generally best for removing what we consider taste and odor Actually the carbon upstream is not for taste and odor - its primary purpose is to remove chlorine to protect the membrane...

The reason no one uses them in residential application is money and maintenance. I managed multistage RO systems that produced 30gpm of product that was further filtered with DI to lab grade that was distributed throughout our site. Purchase price of equipment is actually not bad compared to...

My grates are exactly the same. I saw a different design that had one grate that spanned both burners. The basin with the burners has no obvious drainage. Liquids will just pool and gradually seep out under the burners and seams in the sheet metal. Be careful with removal and assembly of the...
