    Weber 1200 NG to LPG

Thanks! I will hope to find one in the next couple weeks. If I don’t, it’s not like my silver B isn’t working fine... and there aren’t that many older Weber’s for sale in this area - it will sell!

    Weber 1200 NG to LPG

Cool. I have a driver, so I could try! I saw your other thread about making your own drip pan rails.. for $75 does it make sense to pick up that redhead or am I better off hoping to find something else in better shape? this is the season for me to find one - in a few weeks or less people will...

    Weber 1200 NG to LPG

It may be worse off than I thought, I just got more photos. It's the bracket holding the bigger enameled tray that is the problem. Not sure if I can fix that. https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjAw/z/kvQAAOSwhYheyYuw/$_1.JPG?set_id=8800005007 Can you help me understand so I can see what I'm...

    Weber 1200 NG to LPG

Wait! You are Larry m? I found a user named Larry M and messaged them! I just saw a redhead 1000 I think. Grease tray is burned out, but the rest looks good! Can I swap grease tray from silver b?

Looking for LP orifices for the older Genesis 1000

I have a similar question in a recently posted thread. If I read the above correctly, it's not possible to frankenstein a solution using a 1200 NG and an existing Silver B manifold. Correct?

    Weber 1200 NG to LPG

Hi, A 1200 with the side table (rather than burner) has become available. I live in Canada, so sourcing an alt manifold is not easy or cheap. In my last thread it was clarified that it’s wasn’t a simple swap, but I do have a spare silver b manifold and regulator so if possible to swap things...

    Question of interchangeability of parts

Is there a master doc of which parts fit which grills? And at one time, I remember seeing a post that walked through all of the different models - but I can’t find it on a search. Any pointers?

    Question of interchangeability of parts

Oh well, maybe I should have gotten this one. Looking at the cost of replacement parts, it seems like starting from this style model is the best idea. I didn’t love the extra width from the burner, so will stick with the smaller B footprint. I’ll keep an eye out - it’s always in the spring that...

    Question of interchangeability of parts

Rightly or wrongly, I went to see it and didn’t buy. There was rust on the lower shelving bracket (but not the frame) and the flavourizer bars were destroyed. Maybe I could have drilled the manifold orifices, maybe not - but it seemed like a significant investment to rehab the grill. It had a...

    Question of interchangeability of parts

I have a silver B, but one of these just came up on Craigslist. Are the parts compatible? Specifically manifold, flavour bars and grills. I may or may not even be in time to score it, but hopeful! MT

    Whooshing propane sound

KT - it’s a silver B. “Regular knobs” Bruce - I didn’t use water, just my bbq tongs to scrape off the grease. I didn’t tilt the bbq or the propane tank. I didn’t clean or scrape the burners, and they didn’t look corroded or blocked. I believe the orifice and burner are aligned (they look...

    Whooshing propane sound

Last week I had huge flare ups and realized it was time to clean my grill. So I scraped down the bbq and when I went to light it to ensure no moisture had gotten in the bbq, it was hard to light AND the propane was making a very loud (relatively speaking) whooshing sound when both the tank and...

    Genesis 2000

This is super helpful. I'm looking at a bbq that has slats to the right of the temp controls, but if I need to replace the innards with new parts, it will end up costing a bunch and I can live without the extra table, or wait for a BBQ in better shape. For reference, my silver B has the older...

    Genesis 2000

Hi, Are parts interchangeable between genesis 2000 and silver b? I would like the extra side table and prefer the look of dura wood on 2000 compares to the full composite shelf of silver b. But I’d be cannibalizing several parts from the silver b to rehab the 2000- flavour bars, grill, lid etc...

    Grease tray

So I picked up the grill, the pull out tray is in good shape and the grills are okay. I'll keep them as a backup. Any other parts I should keep just in case? I already have a backup set of burner tubes. I prefer the older style lid (with temp on the right) compared to the temp in centre of the...

    Grease tray

Perfect! It's the large tray I'm after, and both are Silver B's. I did just notice that the temperature is in the centre on the newer one, but pretty confident it's a silver b. It may even have had silver written on the handle. My other option is to rivet the damaged tray.

    Grease tray

Hi, My grease tray (not the drip pan) has some holes in it, possibly from moisture trapped under grease? I have a Silver B from some time ago - the 'classic' model with 5 flavourizer bars. This is my favourite of the weber gassers - I don't like the enclosed doors or the much larger more...
