Sure holds temp nice once dialed in! Kegs been lit for 24 hours. Dropped temp to 190 to see if it could hold it that low. Still going strong. Think I will shut it down now never smoked anything longer that 18 hours before. Nice to know I can go 24 plus with no problem.

Too soon to tell, on my next smoke I may use the IQ110 to control temp and the HMRPI to graph the temp then compare the graphs. The Big Steel Keg is very efficient. Heats quick and holds temp it takes almost no combustion air. I'm using a 6 cfm blowers with the intake almost entirely covered...

Using Big Steel Keg. First smoke using Heatermeter raspi, usually use iq110. Put in pork shoulder at the open lid alarm. I had not been planning on cooking but could not resist, I did not a full load of lump in smoker, did not clean out the vent holes. Had the fire go out more from lack of air...

Bryan, have you been able to reconstruct this 4 line display code or will it be in the next update? Got the 4 line display you got off eBay, had to tun my contrast down as far as it will go to get it to work , only getting two lines displayed at this point.

What is the best way to back up all the settings? I tried to make image of the disc after all was working, did not seem to back it up right and took 1 hour to back up and another to re image disk. Does any one have good windows program or a usb bootable programs to image and resize partition?

Doing my first dry run loaded up my keg and running it now see how long this will hold temp IQ was now problem for 18 hours untouched. No food in smoker just deffuser and racks. The probes are just sitting all together on top rack It over shot, I think too much air: only have 6 cfm blower...

Has been working for about 2 weeks, before it quit yesterday. Good thing is it's back to working, not sure were the problem was but it is solved now.

Solved reheated all solder joints on board reseated the chips, imaged mem card display now working

The frist thing I did was adjust the pot. I have tried powering both ways> I am waiting on card to be re-imaged then will reload it all and try again.
