    Pizza night on the KettlePizza

I finally had time to do a pizza cook on the KettlePizza. It was a nice day here in El Dorado Hills with not too much wind so, I though to give it go. I even remembered to take some pictures. Here is the dough relaxing This dough is the Napoletana recipe out of American Pie. If you're into...

    Scored a 26r today!

Congrats! I've been waiting for one of those to show up on craigslist too. I missed it or we would have been fightin over it. ;). Well, now that you got yours there is one less person I have to compete with. Enjoy and congratulations again. Great score.

    Enchiladas on the Weber

Great looking enchiladas. Nothing like doing your prep cook and feeding the kids at the same time. My kids would grab the wings and legs as well. My son would try to take the leg off the bird as it was still spinning ;)

A few photos from first dance with the KettlePizza

Your first attempt looks great. There is a learning curve for the KettlePizza. My setup is pretty much the same as Cliff's. I will put some unlit coals down first though. Then a full chimney on the coal grate with a couple of oak splits on the lit coals. I cut my own DIY baking steel with no...

    Pizza Kettle on the Performer

I just got an email from KettlePizza that says their product will be featured on the Steve Harvey show today. In honor of that they have a $25 off coupon for any KP package up on the KP site. Offer ends 4/19

    Pizza Kettle on the Performer

It will fit on the Performer but the lid holder ring has little plastic guides/rollers that can and will melt if too hot. The KP can reach temps close to 900 degrees which is hot enough to melt those rollers.

I wanted to use the Kettle Pizza today...

Yesterday's rain was no joke. I had to move my ham from the mini to the oven, as well. Nate (or anyone else), have you noticed some doughs work great in the 550 degree oven but when you try to cook the dough on the KP at 800 degrees it doesn't turn out as well? My wife thinks I'm crazy but...

    Hawaiian Pie

Unfortunately, we do not have a shear. I wish, but we don't have a business need for it. The plasma cutter will do everything we need it to do. :(

    Hawaiian Pie

Nate, Congrats on the new steel. can you compare the new KP steel to when you cook with the mojo on top? I made a 22 1/2" round steel without the holes in it and was wondering if the holes help with the cook or just make it easier to add fuel. I can always bring it back to work and throw it on...

    Hawaiian Pie

Nate, Pizza looks great as usual. Did you cook just the one pie? I ran into a dilemma on Saturday where I wanted to cook just one pizza for an appetizer. I was having a hard time trying to justify burning all the fuel needed by the Kettle Pizza for one pizza. So, I just threw it in the oven...

my first Weber - Performer Deluxe 2015

Congrats on the New Performer. It really is the greatest grill ever built! I use a chimney with the gas assist most of the time. If I'm feeling lazy I will just dump some coals in the trays and set them over the flame. This works but not as well as the chimney. Enjoy. oh, and good luck...

    Low carb dinner

Great looking meal. Is that just a pizza screen you are cooking on? That storm really sucked. We lost part of the fence as well. But better of than my neighbor who had a tree land on his truck. Gotta love the foothills during a storm :p
