Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Oh and I scored a Linksys WRT54G V2 for 20 bucks, I was also trying to win a WRT54GS V2 but I was outbid in the last 5 seconds on ebay. I should be catching up on the wireless side of this project soon. Now we're cooking

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

I know this thread is getting crowded, but i would hate to clutter up the new ones with this small update. Anyway I ended up ordering a bigger blower, because I have an offset cooker it requires more airflow than the BGE cookers you guys use. I tried a cook last week with the blower that was...

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Did my first test with my new heater meter tonight. Didn't cook anything just wanted to see how well it would hold temp. Well here it is about 3 hours into the test: I tried cranking it up to 300 but i don't think the blower is big enough to push enough air through my offset cooker.

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

I'm like a woman and need to make up my mind. But I just called my dad and asked if he still had his older linksys router and he does and its not in use. Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Well phase 2 is going to be me attempting to make my own WiShield. I think I will need to order another Arduino though so I dont have to keep tearing my newly finished ATC apart. Hopefully building a WiShield isnt too complicated.

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Well phase 1 of ATC is done. Just waiting on the probes from the maverick to come in, they should be here tomorrow. And I need to come up with a mount for blower. But here it is all together.

I wasnt able to find a yellowjacket in stock anywhere either. And the WRTG method was still a little vague on how to go about making it all work.

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Oh man, that is an even better option, if you do please share your schematic and instuctions. This is my first adventure into electronics but I am having a blast. I showed a friend who is currently in school for electronics and he was like "man that is way better than the projects I do for...

Version 2 of my homebrew controller

Hello guys, I just wanted to chime in a say you have sucked another person into this project. I started bbq/smoking last summer with a cheapo brinkmann and then for christmas my wife bought me a much larger offset brinkmann. After doing many mods to the brinkmann I still have had trouble...
