LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

Awesome, I was thinking there might be some API possibilities with Google voice or something like that, but any notification of email, twitter, etc, would be great. Or even a way of activating a sound command on a local computer.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

Ok, another question. Has anyone figured out a notification system? I was thinking what would really be great would be the router sending out an email or SMS message to my cell phone notifying me the meat has hit proper temp or even if there was an error, etc.? I'm going to miss the beep sound...

Thank you! I wasn't sure if the Trimmer needed to be adjusted for the LCD to display. That was the fix. I wanted to get a suggestion before I messed with it! All is good now. SMOKE ON! </div></BLOCKQUOTE> </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Does the HM led blink twice when you power it on or hit the reset...

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

I'm at work right now messing around with it, don't have any extra pin headers with me. Only have my VOM meter and the boards. I did swap around the sets of wires and still getting the same response (which would make me assume the wires aren't the issue, since if it was one wire I would think...

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

I'm really stumped on the LCD screen. I'm getting power to it and it lights up but I'm getting no text. We've fixed the issue with R7 but it still doesn't work. I guess I'll just get things in there the way it is and work without a working LCD screen for now, but any input is appreciated.

I think I see the problem R7, it should be a wire not what is there.

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

Ok, I updated the firmware on the Heatermeter and I'm still not appearing to get any readout on the LCD. The backlight appears to work since I can control the lighting but I'm getting no text readout. When we check the voltage from 15 to 16 on the board side it's only showing about 1.6 or so, so...

LinkMeter v2 Homebrew BBQ Controller - Part 2

I'm almost done, but got another question. We plugged everything in, but don't seem to be getting the correct power reading on pin 16 to the LCD, would this possibly be because I haven't programmed the IC chip yet?

Coefficients are built in for the 73 and 732 so if you stick with those, you'll be safe. </div></BLOCKQUOTE> Is the only real difference of those the fact that the "high heat" can deal with higher temps? I had a smoker probe that just stopped working possibly due to high heat.

Does it matter what probes from Maverick are used? There are a lot of model numbers on their site. ET-732 Food Probe $20.00 ET-732 Smoker Probe $20.00 ET-71/ ET-73/ ET-77/ ET-901 FOOD Probe $12.00 ET-73 Smoker Probe $12.00 ET-7/ ET-72/ ET-902 Probe $12.00 ET-72/73 High Heat 6ft Food Probe...

Thank You! This explains all the final steps I was confused on. I thought I had saw a jumper on the LCD that I couldn't figure out and the powering now makes a whole lot more sense. I'm almost there! </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hello, I got most everything done with my board and I'm just finishing up the wiring. I'm doing a linkmeter setup and for the life of me I can't figure out where exact I need to tie in the electrical connection to the WRT54GL. I'm assuming I need to connect two wires somewhere, from the...
