Just home from work. They can only go on one way with the whole for the cross over, just make sure the holes in the cross over point at the holes on th long burners.

My 2002 18.5,,,. A hard day of scrubbing with simple green and a whole pumas stone.Gel gloss on the outside lid and bowl. The grill was $20 on graiglist then Craycort ci grates,gold ash kit, leg kit ,tool hanger,Smokenator and a cover. Ain't she beautiful...

I just got the gold ash kit from Weber close outs and it fit fine on my 2002 18.5, It was here in two days, no more hot coals under foot.

On the fence, I can pick up a gas go anywhere with wood handles for $20, Craycort now has the ci grates @45. Think I want the charcoal but haw hard could it be to gut it into one?

Yes the new stuff after the $40, Heavy ci grates, no porcelin. I have I think about $225 in the grill, Wife did not understand why when I brought it home but loves it now. Im working on a 2002 18.5 now, just waiting for the leg kit I got on e-bay for $8.05

$40 on Graigslist, New ci grates,burners,ss bars,warming rack,casters,cover And a basket rotisserie. I sold my 6 year old Q300 to fund the project. The Q was a good grill but the Genesis is more versatile to us. Simple green,gel gloss and a day of srubbing.
