trying to decide between the q120 and q320

Brady, check Craigslist. There are 320s on the Los Angeles Craigslist all the time. I'm looking for one, myself, but I don't want to spend very much. I'll grab one when I see it for under $125. But there are plenty for under $250. So, have at it. Here's a relatively inexpensive Q220 in...

trying to decide between the q120 and q320

My Q220 gets to 500* in about 15 minutes. I had a bit of trouble when I started using the 20 lb tanks, but since I learned the special start up procedure, it hasn't been a problem. The Q220 will get plenty hot. Ignore the rumors. Bill

Who is using their Q for a Forth of July cook??

I did salmon on my q220. It was popular with the guests. We had 20 people over. Salmon on the Q220. Pork Ribs on the Traeger 075. Beef Ribs on the NBBD. And Burgers on the 26" Weber kettle. Bill

    Kingsford Original @ Walmart, 2x15lb Twin-Pak, $7.98 *****

I don't know. I always wind up adding to it before I run out. But I do grill with charcoal most nights. I find I easily go through two bags a week. So, without restocking it'd still take me about a year to go through it. Give or take. Bill

    Kingsford Original @ Walmart, 2x15lb Twin-Pak, $7.98 *****

Dennis, I'd love to find out if it's a misprint before I head to my local Walmart. It's too far a drive to come back empty handed. And Jason, I store them in the bags. Bill

    Weber q adapter hose

When I needed a replacement I went to the local hardware store. Pretty simple. Bill

    Weber q adapter hose

Yes, the ring should be unbroken. It's to prevent propane from leaking. They cost under a buck to replace and you should do it before you use the grill again. Bill

    Super jumbo joe

I'm not sure what the advantage would be. Bill

    Kingsford Original @ Home Depot, 2x20lb, expected $12.88, May 23 *****

Much better price. I'll have to add to my supply. Bill

    Kingsford Original @ Home Depot, 2x20lb, expected $12.88, May 23 *****

But wasn't it closer to $9 less than a year ago? Bill

    Kingsford Original @ Home Depot, 2x20lb, expected $12.88, May 23 *****

That's quite a hefty price increase since last year. I was hoping that the summer holiday sales would be better than that last sale they had. Bill

    Back legs attach-point weakening

My guess is most people have the grill on their porch and don't move it very often. So, it's most likely a very small subset of owners for whom this is a problem. And in that case, it's probably easier and cheaper to have generous customer service than to repair something that's not a problem...

Do I need to turn off the gas at tank?

I think it's great that so many of you are taking a stand for freedom. Don't let "the man" or "the safety experts" or "the manufacturer" tell you you can't do something. They're just trying to keep you down. Even if there's absolutely no reason for you to take the stand you're taking, you...

So what led you to buy a 26" kettle?

When I started doing all of my charcoal cooking indirect, I found that I couldn't cook very much on my 22" kettle. The 26" gives me the amount of space I need if I'm cooking for more than just my immediate family. Of course, I could always just start up a second 22" kettle for more space...

Which Q to get, 100 or 200 series

The fact that the 200 series produces fewer BTUs than either the 100 or 300 series is technically true. However, from a practical standpoint, the difference isn't really noticeable. If the 220 is the right size for your family, buy it with confidence. I have two of them and haven't had a...

    Defective charcoal?

Is the weber thermometer one of the adjustable kind? Some have a nut on the back and you can turn it to recalibrate the thermometer. It's a good feature, but sometimes it gets turned accidentally. Bill

    Rotisserie spit rod for E-ZQue ring/motor mount/motor

Unless I'm mistaken, a Weber rotisserie rod should work with that set up without any modifications. I have a Weber ring and spit and I added the 8" EZ Que basket without making any adjustments. Bill

    weber Q300 series trolley's with 4 wheels

I think the two wheel version would be fine if the grill locked into place. It's very difficult to left the one end from the handle. Weber usually does a good design job, but I think they really dropped the ball when it comes to the Q carts. Bill

    New owner of a Q 220

You got a great deal. Congratulations. I own a Q200 and a Q220. From what I understand, the 200 series doesn't get quite as hot as the Q100 or Q300 grills, but, to be honest, I've never had a heat problem with this grill. It works like a charm. Were I you, I wouldn't spend another second...

    Cast iron grate fit

My guess is that the Weber grill is still 22.5". It's probably a typo that it's 22". After all, changing the size would require changing the manufacturing equipment which doesn't seem to make much sense to save a half inch of diameter. Also, Weber sells a lot of 22.5" replacement grates and...
