    My Pit Barrel Cooker

I know this is a little off topic for our Weber forums but since I bought my Pit Barrel Cooker from an ad on this web site I figured it would be okay to post this. I tested out my PBC last night with three racks of baby back ribs. The cooker was easy to use and my guests loved the ribs. I...

    Brining Bucket

I don't have room in my refrigerator for a big brine bucket. That's why I use the beverage cooler. I can put ice packs inside and leave it on my back porch for two days without a problem. Bill

Now that all the Thanksgiving food is out of the fridge I'm going to set up the Steakager and give it a try. For those interested in getting one in the near future they have a $50 off code for their website. Use the code getitquick.

    Brining Bucket

. I like the fact that the lid screws on. I'm sure the pop on kind are fine for Gatorade at a game, but I use the top to keep the ice packs submerged and I'd be afraid they would cause it to pop off. Also, I wanna keep animals out. Bill

    Brining Bucket

Very similar to that one, but mine has a screw on top, not the pop off top that one has. Here's a picture. Bill

    Brining Bucket

I use one of those "gatorade" style beverage coolers. I substitute a bit of water in the brine recipe with ice to get things nice and cold then I put a couple of ice packs in a plastic bag and place them at the very top and seal the lid. Then I leave the cooler on my back porch. Using this...

Thanks. I just ordered one. My wireless thermometers don't reach from the barbecue area to the bedroom for overnight monitoring. This will be great for Thanksgiving. Bill

    interesting roasting setup

I don't really see the advantage over a traditional roasting rack. But I'd be curious to hear from someone who tried it. Bill

TV production company selling 38" performer?

About a year ago I met the location manager for Bobby Flay's show. When she found out I was into barbecue she told me about this mini storage unit in Van Nuys (very close to my house) full of stuff from the show that they were going to eventually sell. I gave her my number and told her to let...
