    HeaterMeter Hardware v4.2.4

So how do we get a 4 port thermocouple support? I would prefer those probes vs the lousy mavericks. Anyone make a board for 4 yet? Let me know. Thanks! Neil

    HeaterMeter Hardware v4.2.4

So I just ordered the board from Tindie which is great. I need the entire order from Mouser but what other parts are required for the thermocouples? The jacks I guess? Just trying to get the full picture. Thanks! Neil

    Strange Error

Keep us posted if you have more problems. I haven't used my heatermeter all that much but since the swap of SD card and power supply no issue.

    cat5 extender

Can someone send me the details of the cat 5 extender? I don't have the cat5 on my board so I have to add it and modify the case on top of it all I guess but I am curious to read about it. Thanks, Neil

    Interesting Site... Check it out

This device has been actively discussed on the pelletheads site. I have watched this device carefully. The biggest problem I have seen with this device is that it reports to the tappecue website and then you connect to that site to get the data. In other words this is not a standalone device...

    Probes

Well - it is! Its a big pellet smoker. It does the regulating. The heatermeter is running my temp sensing / monitoring only for me to watch my pit temp and the food temp...

    Probes

I don't need to use them but they are nice. They have a 6 foot lead and there is a 10 foot option. I tried using extension cords for my probes and it just became a heavy tangled mess. I don't want to put my heatermeter on the roof of the FEC120 as it can get pretty warm. Thanks, Neil

    Probes

Right I have no idea how to know or figure out without just asking the manufacturer. I could get an adapter and test it I guess? Edit: I just looked on their website and it says: Used to adapt K type thermocouples to the Stoker. So I guess they are thermocouples? Neil

    Probes

The probes are the larger jack for headphones and they have lights on them. It is very interesting and very different so probably won't work. I actually misplaced my heatermeter and need to look for it! :-o Thanks, Neil

    Probes

I just finished two briskets on my FEC120 and I am very excited but I used my Stoker to log my cook. Of course the stoker broke down at the end of the cook - it wasn't available via the network. This isn't unusual with the stoker and I realized I haven't found a device a I like! I have a...

    Better probes?

I am looking for a new pit probe that will work with the spring clip and isn't made by maverick. That way I can use the extension cables I bought. Any thoughts? I found this: I wonder if it will work: http://www.firecraft.com/product/bbq-guru-8ft-pit-probe/bbq-thermometers Thanks, Neil

    Email not working?

Ok so I edited the file manually and now it seems to work. Also I had port 465 for gmail but the one example I saw said 587 so I switched to that and it seems to work well now! Thanks.

    Email not working?

    Strange Error

Well I changed the SD card and the power supply. I used a router power supply that isn't a wall wart but a larger version. I did have one crash last night. I was using pitmeter for the iphone and tried to adjust things but I might have been pushing it too hard and reapplying changes quickly...
