    i preheated with canola oil, he suggests using butter which u can do.. the only problem with the recipe is there is a lotta moisture so it takes time too get firm, but it is good.. i used the 9inch lodge, but u could us the next size which would quiken the time..thanx glenn in SC

    just got in... long day put 10lb brisket on at 6am... temp stalled..ran outta time temp 188 in point and 165 to 170 in flat just wrapped it and in the cooler... i give up on trying too figure these things out.. made jalepeno cornbrread and baked beans pics later.. really good smoke day though...

    decided too give it a whirl today.. 2lb ground beef pound of pork and a whole lotta goodies.. fired up the kettle with some ranchers briquettes i recently found at piggly wigly, gonna compare with stubbs, and some red oak. here is the loaf of meat.. after 70 minutes on th kettle.. nice ring...
