    Webpage not updating

A very weird thing is happening. My iPad ran out of juice, so I switched to my laptop to keep an eye on the HM. The webpage is not updating, it loads once and just sits there. This is a mac and I am running Firefox. I've tried Safari with the same results as well as Chrome. I have disabled...

Brisket on the WSM. Owing to getting a very late start, separated the point and flat. Trying to run at 250 to speed the process up even further. http://heatermeter.dyndns.org:56789

    Interesting Site... Check it out

Some person on reddit posted something that sounded like the Heatermeter, except he called it "BBQ Pi." Someone suggested looking here and the original poster admitted that it was a HM. http://www.reddit.com/r/BBQ/comments/278kpm/automated_bbq_i_call_it_bbq_pi/

    Wish list...

The fan is not inline with the servo. They have two separate paths. It is weird, I acknowledge that.

EDIT: If the fan is on, I want the servo closed.

Permanently Mounting Temperature Probe on WSM

Interesting. One of the things that I learned about the WSM is that if you don't have the probe within 3 or 4 inches inside of the water pan (past the gap between the side walls and the pan) the readings are absolutely useless because of the heat rolling off between the sidewall and the pan...

    Wish list...

I would like to make the request of having a "servo off at max" toggle. Currently the fan is only on at max. It is not inline and having the servo open when the fan is running is creating some visible turbulence.

Permanently Mounting Temperature Probe on WSM

Mache, Why do you want the probe underneath the grate?

Brisket in the WSM 22.5 with a new "breathing" system. 1st generation servo controlled damper with fan asssist. Really now want a "servo off at max" toggle. http://heatermeter.dyndns.org:56789

    sous vide thread

I have been using my heatermeter controlled crock-pot to re-heat my vacuum packed leftover bbq. It has been fantastic.

Mother's Day Brisket is on the WSM 22 with Frontier lump. Servo damper / Fan assist. No air burner but built a new contraption to deliver the air to all of the bottom vents instead of one. Seems like it is doing a pretty good job. B= 4 P= 25 I= .02 D= 15 http://heatermeter.dyndns.org:56789/luci

    Heatermeter and Heartbleed (SSL)

I haven't had a chance to fire up my box since the Heartbleed bug has been announced. Do we have anything to worry about?

Manual mode from GUI or terminal?

I'm still missing my button and was wondering if there is a way to put the HM into manual mode from the GUI or command line. I didn't find anything in the wiki. Just getting around to fiddling with my servo controlled damper and although I have found a workaround to setting trims, manual mode...

Fan mounting location on Weber One Touch Kettle

I can chime in here. I use my HM v4 with my 22" kettle / smokenator combo frequently. I drilled a 3/4" hole directly under the coal chamber of the smokenator and plugged in the fan with a copper tube. PID settings fiddling and max blower output at around 15% and it works like a charm. I've kind...

    HOWTO: Configuring LinkMeter WiFi

Bryan will have to definitively answer the fallback question for sure but I believe the 192.168.200.1 fallback is the default config setting hard coded in the install that allows you to reach the HM via TCP/IP if you screw something else up. (an alias for your wired network adapter) Is the...

    HOWTO: Configuring LinkMeter WiFi

I think that is because the probe settings are stored in the heatermeter board, not the RPi. It is weird that you wireless connection hasn't given you your IP address and shows no TX/RX. Do you have a DHCP server on your network? In the WiFi tab, are you connecting as a client?
