Ivo, I've got an aoyue 2900 and solder at 350 all the time. Matt

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

CW, Tom and I are printing the cases for people. Check the first page of this thread for the details. Matt

    For you 3D printer fans

The output they're getting recently has been pretty decent compared to their initial attempts. But I don't see why you couldn't print off a set of MendelMax parts with the makibox. This is the beauty of reprap...self-replication. :)

    For you 3D printer fans

For $200 or so a makibox looks pretty good. Even if all you do is strip out the mechanicals and re-use them in another machine $200 is hard to beat. C. Rodenius, did you get the heated bed? The case will just *barely* fit on the build platform, but it'll fit!

    For you 3D printer fans

There has been quite a bit of discussion about the makibox over on the reprap forums. AFAIK that filament extruder is experimental - no one has seen a prototype extruding usable filament. http://makibox.com/blog?month=201210 is their latest update. But there are other efforts as well...

    For you 3D printer fans

Dave, I think you can buy pre-colored. But I'm pretty sure you can buy natural and add a pigment. I may have to build one of these...

    For you 3D printer fans

Kinda. The real limitation with this tech is speed. It's really slow at this point, but it does help to 'close the loop' for 3D printing. The last part is a machine to grind plastic into granules compatible with the filament extruder. Then we'll have a fully closed-loop system and the prices...

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

Those are supposed to be 10K 1% resistors...so anything above 9.9K should be OK Do you happen to have a spare 10K handy? If not maybe radioshack for a quick fix... I wonder if you could take the average resistance and redefine the resistor values in software? At least then the total error...

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

Bruce, Did you check for continuity across R17? Meter across these two points for 10K. Matt

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Eric, You hit the nail on the head. Pretty much all that I print is heater meter cases! Trying to get my second printer up and running so I can get them banged out quicker. Greg, let me know about the final fit. If there's a defect or something wrong or even some variation in your build...

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Once you get the LCD in and get it connected take some pictures about where you'd like it to go relative to the button. As long as it's a similar placement to the existing LCD, I can simply extend the opening to accommodate the new LCD. Which display did you order?

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

RJ, If you want I'll extend the box to fit a 4-line display. Will probably lose the HDMI out though. Is this an acceptable trade-off? Is it a 16X4 or 20x4? Matt

I ordered blue today. :) It should be in Monday. Matt

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Alan, This is a metric setup. The only difference between the metric and standard versions is the bottom of the case. Both cases have nut traps like the image above, the difference being the size of the trap (M3 nut vs 4-40 nut). Those are just M3 socket cap screws. I like them better than...

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Stan, There will always be tweaks. :) I'm sure I'll get a lot of feedback from the first round of cases. Hopefully the idiosyncrasies of each build will help refine the case until it is a universal fit for all builds. Matt

HM version 4 Rpi 3d print case

Hooray! I couldn't find the robot and grill on your github, so I pulled it off the eagle file as you noticed. :) I've wanted to do something with the logo, but didn't have a good enough image to work with. These change that! Thanks Bryan! Also, awesome job on the heatermeter! And M...
