I get the feeling that we should all be getting more information on the Smokefire in the next couple of days. On the Lowes website in now has a statement saying that they will start shipping the Smokefire on 1/6/2020 and another local vendor in NY, PC Richards, now has a statement saying they...
I think the software and app are what is holding the Smokefire up from being ready. The app should have recipes and give information on expected cook time and things like when to flip a steak. There will likely be a lot of updates that will occur to optimize the app. I heard from a pretty...
Some people stated that they called Lowe’s after some of the orders weren’t showing up online and they were told that the Smokefire was scheduled to ship from the manufacturer on January 3rd. I emailed Weber to ask if they had a date where they were going to start shipping and they responded...
I was reading the instructions manual, it states that you should use a water pan inside the fire box for longer cooks. I know that many pellet smokers use water pans but I don’t think it will be included with the grill. Does anyone have experience with pellet smokers and know what you can use as...
Does anyone have experience on buying grill covers for pellet grills? It looks like you would need the Weber grill cover and using an aftermarket brand would not work with the shape of the grill.
There have been a couple of questions about this on Amazon and the responses have been inconsistent. One response stated that they don’t recommend other pellets due to varying sizes in pellets and a second response said they couldn’t recommend the pellets because their performance testing was...
I will be attempting to make this an all-in-one grill for me. I do not have the space for multiple grills on my patio. I convinced my wife to let me go for an ex6 but need to wait for my 40th bday in April. April feels like a very very long time from now!!!
I noticed a person on a different...
I compare this to the Traeger Ironwood. It is less expensive, looks to have a better design, Has a better warranty, and if I know anything about Weber, this will be a much more solid and well built unit (appears to weight about 30 pounds more).
Anyone think there will be any way to get a discount on the Smokefire? If you order through Amazon and have the amazon prime card and prime membership you can get 5% back. Looks like Lowe’s 5% and 10% off discounts do not apply to Weber.
I agree. I don’t think it makes sense waiting too long. I am planning on waiting for the spring though. This way, I get to see a few more reviews and also avoid putting the grill through a snowy NY winter.
I was leaning toward the EX4 but after looking at the comparison to the Genesis, I think...
I am surprised that Weber is not offering some extra incentive for preordering. It seems like their primary goal for preordering is to have the Smokefire available as holiday gifts.
It is never a bad idea to get another grill. I only have a Spirit and Q100. I have talked with my wife about getting a WSM but she says that if she lets me, I will eventually turn my back yard into a BBQ pit. Luckily I turn 40 in the spring. Happy Weber SmokeFire Birthday to me!
