Thanks! I like to think I have one of the more upgraded go anywhere gases around. Someday i'm sure I'll treat it to the SS flavorizer plate too. Just cant swing $42.35 for it right now (that IS almsot as much as a whole new grill)

Nice looking cook! I got a roto for our performer for christmas and have been too lazy to break it out in this cold yet :o I have a frozen turkey sitting in the freezer just waiting to go for a trial spin.

If ordering from amazon, the cover is sold seperately. Or at least it was for my 2013 performer.

One thing that you may not notice is that the performer is taller. I appreciate that as I'm fairly tall myself so I don't have to bend my back as much.

Looks awesome Tony! A note about the maverick hanging on the wsm's lip--If you ever decide to add garage door handles to your cooker, you can then hang the maverick from the wsm lip and lean it on the garage door handle so the plastic doesnt get hot. Plus, having the handles is.........HANDY!!

I'd pay $30 for an un used go anywhere with wood handles.

A simple solution is to get three bricks and place them on your patio/deck. Then take the lid off (if it's in your way for a given cook) and place it on the bricks. I use this method for my performer lid, wsm lid, and craycort grates when i need them out of the way.

Interesting observation! I've never had issues searing on my weber lunchbox tho... I do think the craycorts help. I can easily hit almost 600 at the dome thermo i added:

If you want something stock looking, you could order a performer thermometer from ereplacementparts and install it in your lid like I did in our go anywhere:

I dunno why they did it, but at least they wised up and fixed that!
