Jennifer helps me cook....sorry James Lake

That IS a real COHIBA cigar, and I bet it was awesome! Watch out Tony, the ATF is coming for you

    Blues Hog Shé~cone

Jim, Quick question - did you brine those pieces at all? The only reason I ask is because they appear exceptionally plump. I get some large sticks/thighs around here also, but these look very juicy, especially in the first pic. Do you cook yours direct the entire time, as I'm seeing from the...

Master Touch available for 2015 lineup

Sure you can, I don't use the therm half the time either, but then you also end up with the handle in a "vertical" fashion. Like we said, not a big deal, but little things we notice that may bother some people. Observations more or less.

Need an Idea for a Charity Cook

I know it might be cliche, but if you're looking for something cost effective, that will fit and cook up nicely in your OTG, and won't involve too much work, I'd definitely go with Pulled Pork. To meet your sample size requirement, get yourself 2 large (roughly 10 lbs) or 3 medium shoulders...

Master Touch available for 2015 lineup

Tom, the vent/therm placement comes into play more so in indirect cooking. Take a look at my last post at http://tvwbb.com/showthread.php?54820-Treating-coworkers-to-some-BBQ . Specifically, look at the 5th picture down and compare the vent/therm setup VS the new performer (the two are on...

Master Touch available for 2015 lineup

Tyson, Fantastic observation on the new vent location, I totally missed that. Might not make that much of difference, but definitely will be a big change with charcoal/food placement. Thank you for pointing that out man. After checking our inventory, it appears the new Performers have the...

    New Toy :).

Thanks Peter! Glad to see a picture of it in action. Just a quick question - does this thing cook any differently than a large CI pan, besides the heat retention?

    New Toy :).

Roger that, Jose. Just thought maybe they had that vinyl covering on it maybe. I need to get a comal or this thing. Or that 20" cast iron pan someone posted the other day! How much was that pan?

    New Toy :).

That thing is pretty sweet. Just wondering, are those handles painted, or?

Master Touch available for 2015 lineup

You and me both dude! Love the 26.75, as my father in law has one, but the legs are kinda flimsy for this big of a grill; a cart configuration would be prime. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but my 22" Performer fits thru my garage side door just perfectly, the 26.75" obviously...

Master Touch available for 2015 lineup

By all means, I agree as well as I already own a Performer, and am thinking about picking up the Master Touch to complement it side by side for bigger cooks. It would stand to the right of the performer, and share its table. Be careful though, that charcoal bin opens up and melts on the grill...

    Chicken Noodle Soup

I'm glad you mentioned that. Whenever I make chicken soup, I make the noodles separately, and add them to the soup as needed.

    Treating coworkers to some BBQ

Thank you everyone! I appreciate the kind words - now that fall is coming, that's when I especially love to get the grills/smoker out, and get a fire going, so I'll be sharing some more pics, hopefully with the digital SLR and not my phone. There's a lot of great pics on this site, and you...

    Treating coworkers to some BBQ

Hey Everyone, Martin here. I've been lurking around here for a while, and finally decided to post one of my cooks. Decided to treat my coworkers to some good grub. I'm feeding a total of 8 folks, so decided to grill 4 split chickens, a slab of really meaty loin ribs, some hot Italian...
