I picked up two Genesis 1000s from

JKim - start a new thread! I LOVE that idea! I'll post on it when I get home today. I think format should be like : [] Grill Description [] Where did you find it [] Pic 1 [] Pic 2 [] Pic 3 (limit 3, make em good) [] What do you plan to do with the grill once "complete" [] What do you plan to...

Cart/frame size dimensions on Silver A (2 burner) vs Silver B (3 burner)?

So I just measured my Silver A, and my Silver C, which has the same firebox as the B. Silver A is 15.5" OD front to back on the frame Silver C is 18" OD front to back on the frame LOCK THE THREAD! 😆

    For the rehab guys

The 9890 roti I got the dude threw in for $20, I think I made out. With an empty tank and manual, I think $40 or $50 is super reasonable to ask.

Anyone compare Weber 7639 grates to RCPlanebuyer?

I can't speak to Weber's, but I can tell you that I have absolutely no doubts that my RC grates and flavorizers will last a lifetime. They are made very, very well and I am proud to own these fine pieces of craftsmanship.

    2018 Season is looking up

Indeed - a fine looking gal! You took all the pics I'd want to see. Mirror lid finish and clean box? I'd be all over that. Very nice work.

    Second One in Two Days!

At the risk of spilling all my candy, I recently learned about using the 'or' operator in CL search: | In the CL search bar, type "weber | webber | grill | bbq | propane" ...which returns a search with hits on any of those keywords. As my old man says, "Learn the system and make the system...

+1 for the roti being the feather in THIS cap! HFS you just don't find the whole kits anymore, nevermind new-in-box! Good on you, man!

That feeling when you know what is about to happen next will be amazing....

I know - me too. I was initially drawn to the ease of maintenance of the durawood, but after seeing the beauties so many of you have put up, I know it's just a matter of time before I replace them all with a nice stained hardwood. EDIT: added quote

That feeling when you know what is about to happen next will be amazing....

Confirmed, shiny and smooth aluminum back of firebox. It's pretty hard to express my disappointment when I found the broken hingepin ear. So. Many. Hours. I get a little obsessive compulsive when I get excited, which is something I am sure none of you can relate to /s Let me give the new hood...

    Propane - Fill vs. Exchange

Hi Dustin I can tell you definitively that the dude who filled my 2 empty tanks pushed 9.4 gallons of liquid propane in to fill them. Per this link, one gallon of LP at 60 degrees F is 4.23 pounds. 9.4 gallons x 4.23 pounds per gallon = 39.762 pounds divided by 2 tanks = 19.881 pounds in...

    Propane - Fill vs. Exchange

Hi Gang - Long time no talk. I just wanted to share a revelation I had - nothing groundbreaking or that you probably don't know already, but it really just sunk in for me this past weekend. You could probably guess that refilling your tank is a better deal than exchanging for a freshie...

That feeling when you know what is about to happen next will be amazing....

Hello Fellow Afflicted- Update: I have the LX frame totally redone to where I am happy with it. I spent longer than I care to admit blasting out the firebox with wire wheel, only to discover on my completion that the ear that receives the hinge pin is BROKEN (!). Oh Em Gee. So much for...

    Hi Ho Silver A, Away!

Another one saved from the scrap heap, gang. If you recall, I picked up this Silver A from a dude moving out of state. I originally went to buy just his propane tanks, but he was gonna junk the grill so I took it on principle. My good buddy Tim at work is going to enjoy the heck out of...

    Road trip to Omaha!

It does spike for monsoons, Rich, but Omaha is like nonstop monsoon conditions from May to September. It's pretty gross. 1% Design conditions for Phoenix are 108F at just over 30% relative humidity - it just feels that much worse since it's so nice and dry the rest of the time!
