    Tongs and Spatula Set

I was in Lowes yesterday so took a look at the new designs for the tongs and spatula. Like the new design. Will likely get a set of these in the near future, as they are a nice upgrade.

    It's baaack. K-Pro on sale @ Costco.

Grabbed 3 today as well. The reg price is now $21.99. Same as the 20lb twins of KBB at Lowe's and HD. Oh, the Kirkland bratwurst's are now back in stock. They always disappear for a few months during the holidays, so glad they're back. Pork loins are $4 off.

KBB has now gone up in price as well.

The 20lb twin packs @ Lowes & HD are now $21.98. Anyone's guess as to what the summer holiday sales will be like this year. We'll just have to wait & see....

    It's baaack. K-Pro on sale @ Costco.

Same here. Will definitely stock up when I go to Costco next Fri. May make 2 trips into store so I can get a half dozen twin packs. Better to stock up now since who knows what the summer holiday sales will be like this year?

Count me in as a fan of Winco Charcoal.

They also have stores in NV, MT, UT, and TX. I guess they've expanded quite a bit recently.

Count me in as a fan of Winco Charcoal.

At Winco. It's a grocery store chain in western US with stores in Northern CA, OR, WA and ID.

Count me in as a fan of Winco Charcoal.

I got a 18lb bag of Winco charcoal a couple weeks ago and finally had the chance to put it to the test last night. For me the true test for any brand of charcoal is how well it performs when doing roti chicken. If it does well with that, then it will be fine for everything else I cook :) A...

    Ordered new phone

My LG Stylos 5 still works just fine, although the battery life isn't what it used to be. I don't need to replace it right now so will wait a while longer before doing so. My wife's Apple phone is even more ancient than my LG phone so that will be the one that gets replaced first.

    Winco Charcoal worth buying?

I may just buy a bag to try out, and if I like it then I have another option in the event that the KKB/K-Pro sales don't pan out this year.

    Winco Charcoal worth buying?

I saw in another thread that 18lb bags of Winco charcoal are about $8, which is about $0.05 less per LB than the 20lb bags of KBB @ Lowes & HD. Depending on what the summer holiday sales are like this year, might just start buying this. But is it worth it? Don't want to get into a situation...

Anyone having or going to a New Years Eve party tonight?

Same here. The county fairgrounds put on a pretty good fireworks show last night that lasted a good 30+ minutes and was over by 6:15. After that it was all fireworks set off by neighbors. Didn't mind it though. With 6+ inches of snow on the ground, the fire danger was zero :)

Anyone having or going to a New Years Eve party tonight?

Just here at home with family. Wife is making a salmon sushi type dish and stuffing to go with the ham (pre-cooked) that I'm doing in the WSM right now. Some red wine late this afternoon and then champagne to ring in the New Year later.

    Freezer for my garage

Our 1st chest freezer was a 6.cu ft Kenmore. That worked fine for a while. But when the kids got older, we were constantly filling it up, so about 4 yrs ago, we upgraded to a 11.8 cu ft Kenmore. I think the closest we've come to filling it up has been to about 80% capacity. And we currently...

    Windows 11

Upgraded to Win 11 yesterday. It went smoothly w/o any issues. It is a bit different from Win10, and will take some getting used to, but it's running just fine. I think this one will be a big hit for those who do really complex stuff, but I'm not one of those folks :).

    Merry Christmas to all!

    It's Winter Grilling Time....

Limiting charcoal cooks to stuff that takes 30 min or less worked just fine the other night. I did boneless pork chops on Fri night using K-Pro and no issues with maintaining temps. Going to do boneless leg of lamb for Christmas. It's a 5lb roast so I'll do it on the Genesis with the roti.

    It's Winter Grilling Time....

It's that time of year... No more long charcoal cooks for me until the days get longer, & temps warm up a bit. I did a rotisserie chicken last Sun on the performer and it took just over 2 hrs to finish. And that was with using K-Pro and adding fresh coals at the 1hr & 1:30 marks. After that...
