    Sometimes it's your turn...

For those of us old enough to remember (still) all of the kettles, all sizes, and WSMs had the daisy wheel adjustments before that new-fangled OneTouch System came about. Much better control, and you learned to set it correctly quickly lest you burn your fingerprints off. I miss those days...

Free Silver B: Most Baked on Grime Award Winner???

Not a tub, a large heavy duty black trash bag. Think Contractor grade. Spray, place in bag, tie up bag, leave in sun. You'd be surprised how much heat can be generated, and the Simple Green soaks in, doesn't evaporate. Softens everything up.

Free Silver B: Most Baked on Grime Award Winner???

re Hood and FireBox scraping: I've found that spraying with Simple Green (1 part SG, 3 parts H2O) liberally and then placing parts in a heavy duty black plastic trash bag, then left in the sun for a few hours to steam will do a pretty good job of loosening up the residue of past cooks. Then hit...

I will just leave this here

Thanks. I searched for this info on the site, this didn't turn up. My skills are lacking. So, If I understand correctly, the grill is a baseline Genesis from 1993. What's nice is that it is 96% complete, just missing the warming grid. Another quick question: Do I replace the LP hose and...

OK gurus, can I pick your brains? Just picked up an older Weber, east-west, deep box, 13 flavorizer. Cast iron grills. Wood slats on left, wire cage below. Older style propane hookup. Swing table is held in position by manually inserting a rod into the frame. Flavorizers are steel, not...

    Griddles

I not been able to get high enough temp on a griddle inset on a gasser. Instead we use a MoJoe, just a slab of steel crafted by some guy out in California. We use it on a 22" Weber kettle. Can get to excellent temps. As on the left in the pic from the their website.

On a whim stopped in at the local Savers (like Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc...) New, in box, never opened (until I did to check for damage)

You’re not going to believe this one...

$2,300? Do you already have NG in the house? I just paid $500 to have my NG gas line extended to the kitchen for my BlueStar installation.

Quick question for the experts here. I recently picked up a late 90s early 00s Weber 900 with a red head (more red/orange color). The firebox is trashed, rotted out. The "Durawood" wasn't quite, there's a bit of meltage on the slat nearest the firebox on the left side. Came with the original...

Propane tank question.......I gotta spinner :(

Yeeeesh. More than a few years ago in our neck of the woods an empty beer keg was tossed on a bonfire. That did not go well for the party participants.

    Craigslist find...

I prefer the cast iron. These are in excellent, almost new condition. I'm still amazed at the condition overall of the grill.
