Newbie with an old Genesis--learning to refurb!

Cassondra, I have a grill like yours and I had to replace all this long wires and igniters. The one you are looking to buy has one igniter instead of three and it is short so less problems. There is also one for the side burner though. The critters don’t chew the wires as there is no bottom...

    Grill Frame End Cap Frustration!

I use Bruce’s idea of of inserting a piece of wood inside from the opposite end and pounding them out after soaking them a few days with PB Blaster. I think the secret is, I have a piece of birch hardwood cut to just barely fit inside the tube so that the force is distributed to all edges of the...

    Time For A New Pup

Beagles get the nod in our house as they are a small dog with a big dog demeanour. They are very tolerant and loving, hence the reason they are used in research. 🙁 But be warned. Ninety nine percent of their brain is connected to their nose so it is almost impossible to let them off leash or...

    Q2xxx Rotisserie from QuliMetal

Thanks Mack! I looked at those but right now I don’t want to spend that much. I had a template from someone on an Aussie forum before these became available so might take on the challenge of building one. Also have lots of scrap SS on hand. I also feel the QuliMetal one would be better so will...

Found this beauty hours before garbage pickup

Just remember as Kevin stated, top coat it with a durable outdoor paint. It does not stand up to UV rays and the elements. Lots of people who don’t top coat it don’t realize this and blame POR 15 when it fails.
